Downtown is not the best representation... all the parts a pieces make Raleigh great... 2.5 hours to beach. 3 hours to mountains. We have a river, we have lakes, we have universities we have colleges, we have RTP

If you visit Boone, you may want to drive to Blowing Rock (a neighboring town) about 8 miles from Boone. Nice historic downtown area with many restaurants and shops.

He is right theres nothing downtown, i was driving and went past the red hat office and got excited as I saw the tall PNC building in the background. Once I reached I drove 6 blocks down and I was in the woods again!! There's nothing downtown, the happening place is that crab something mall with the cheese cake factory :(

two things: the coldest I'd ever been in my life were in Januarys, the start of the "spring" semesters there, and in 1975, after my last soccer game there in Kidd Brewer stadium, the assistant coach told me to go stand in the middle of the field and look around, and take in the beauty, because I'd never play there again- glad I did, and remember it to this day

Thanks for visiting the channel. You must have time without coming to Downtown Raleigh. Now the city has approved what they call "Social District" which has increased the presence of people and more activity in the downtown and that specific day there were also food trucks of all kinds of food.
