    สวัสดีค่ะ ครู Shelby! I have an important request for you! May you make video about Thai particles? Not just polite ones like: ค่ะ/คะ ครับ นะ จ๊ะ But about the ones that giving an emotion to the sentences as well. Like these: แหละ เนอะ ล่ะ สิ ซิ หนิ and the others. I'm pretty sure there's a lot more emotional particles out there, but there's any information about it, there's very-very small amount of information about it. I would like you to do some sort of «100 should-know particles» or «the ultimate guide to Thai particles» video, with useful emotional particles and its meaning, situation where to use it. It's just a suggestion and an idea! You have every right not to follow my idea and do it your way or not to do it at all. I just made a request to you because you are the only Thai teacher I know with the absolutely unique information that no one ever did before, information that no one talked about but it's really helpful and needed or just interesting to know. You have the content for different levels, and I can just growing up on your videos only, and REALLY improving my skills and knowledges, your videos give a feeling that there's still something I need to know about, that I need keep going, I CAN keep going, give a feeling that there's still a lot information so I mustn't just stand there, I must keep going and improving my Thai language. That's why I love you. And that's why YOU the one I asked for help na kha🫶🏻

    Very fun video. I learned a lot of new expressions and found I already knew quite a few of them. (I learned most of my Thai drinking with colleagues after work.) Like I tell my English students, nothing wrong with knowing these, but be VERY careful when using them. Swearing in another language may seem fun or harmless, but it requires pretty deep cultural awareness to get away with it in the right context. I am enjoying your videos - practical and clear.

    • @LearnThaiwithShelby
      @LearnThaiwithShelby Před 17 dny

      "เสียตัว" conveys a sense of having lost something, in this case, one's body, and it also refers to losing one's virginity. It can be used in a general context to express regret about sleeping with a particular person. In this context, it suggests that you don't view sex as a win-win situation. Additionally, it is not considered a rude term at all.
