Moved into a new house with my ex (we had been together 15 years and have a child, living as though we were married). Garden was covered in ivy. Ex insisted the ivy had to go, much to my protestations. Not two years later we split up. He was sacked/made redundant and now his mums partner is dying of cancer. Never stripping ivy again!

The part that stayed strongest with me - "Bread is a matter of life and death! If you can't look after your own, do you expect me to do it for you?" This has so much in it. Themes of codependence and interdependence, kind acts becoming doormats to walk over, lessons in standing up to tyrants, watching closely for body language rather than words, and the wisdom behind seemingly stupid hands. Thank you so much for the story. Beautifully told.

Some Salmon juice lept out of the fire scalding young Denme's thumb, which he stuck in his mouth, and suddenly he knew *All Things. * His name was changed to Fionn MacCumhaill. The moral is: Either watch your own important potions yourself, Or provide proper protective personal equipment to your employees. Slainte'☘

You could just as easily be called the medicine crow because your stories take me out of my stressed and anxious state,and they take me to another world, and soothe me and calm my body, mind and spirit. I can't afford to donate anything yet but I will when I can because your stories are worth their weight in gold. Also I'm really grateful for the fact that your beautifully told tales take me out of the dominant, logical left hemisphere and into the imaginative creative part of my brain, which hasn't been stimulated by storytelling since I was a child... and that in itself is very healing ❤

Parliamentarians cut down the tree to symbolise the end of monarchy, so it wouldn't surprise me if communists cut down the tree as their God is government, and with WEF (World Economic Forum) round the corner they probably saw it as symbolistic of an end to national governance. Perhaps, but it can't of been fundamentalist Christians because as you say, it's entwined with Christian mythos., I don't know though. The famous oak up on Hadrian's wall was also cut down and it reminded me of when commies tear down old buildings in order to disconnect the remaining populace of their past in order to recreate a new and dismal future. Russian and Chinese history is full of this. No matter who did it or why, I agree with you they deserve a great punishment for cutting down what is not just a tree but a piece of our collective history. Excellent video, cheers!
