Mercedes forgets one important thing, people can't buy what they cannot afford and Mercedes stuff is crazy expensive. If their EV's were truly revolutionary and not just more of the same as all other EV's just with the Mercedes name on it things might be different.

Mercedes made their EVs look so incredibly ugly. Then they decided on terrible value for money as the nail in the coffin. They get the dubious honour of being one of the few companies to be worse than BMW. I'm sure a Chinese company will be happy to buy up the Mercedes brand. Phillip.

As a 20 years Mercedes consumer, what I see as the reason for the decline in Mercedes' failure in the EV market is mainly due to the design of their EV's. The way Mercedes made their EV's just makes the cars look cheap and all plastic! This is not the quality that Mercedes owners look for nor are accustom to. If Mercedes wants to tackle the EV market they need to fire their design team for the EV's and hire people who have a better concept design wise AND start building the EV's out of more higher quality materials! Mercedes built the cars with lesser quality materials and plastics while trying to sell the cars at premium prices of over 6 figures! That's why their EV sells failed!! Also, the build quality for the EV's weren't up to par either and many of their EV's were all returned and repurchases triggered because of so many problems with the cars! And when a customer pays over 6 figures for a car and then the car starts to have problems, that's going to upset the consumer! Also, I'd have to admit that even their manufacturing processes have been slipping as well because I bought a 6 figure SL43 AMG Roadster last year, brand new, and it started having problems 6 weeks of ownership! To where now, I'm also in the process of doing a buyback on my SL as well! So Mercedes needs to step up and correct their mistakes on how they are building their cars at the plants and redesign their EV's with more quality materials!

About a month ago, I was driving south through France and saw a car on fire, with two fire engines dousing it. As I approached slowly due to the congestion caused by the event I noticed it was an EV with a BMW badge on it. It had been burning for some time and was still smoking heavily, filling the air with nasty smelling fumes which stayed on my tongue for about 1/2 hour, not pleasant.. The day before I saw a BMW on a tow truck and another with the bonnet up on the side of the road.

TOTAL FUD! Nothing like getting people to click on a manufactured crisis! BTW, pertrol cars are a few time more likely to have fires than EVs.

I have had my FSD for 4 years now. It is a little better but the car typically makes 2 mistakes per 20 mile drive to work. So, then I turn it off. Not quite ready for prime time Robotaxi unless there is a designated driver in the driver seat.

$100 a month !!! LOL, the subscription rate is going to be very low. Tesla should just put the software on EVERY car, since the hardware is there... then increase prices a couple thousand. Nobody is going to pay $100 a month or $12K up front.

Use it everyday. no problems. Went from St. Louis to Nashville with no problems. After years of watching idiots' text and drive I would much rather have a bunch of self-driving cars. Self-driving still requires driver awareness and hands on the wheel, but for everyday driving it can really make the ride much more enjoyable. I do believe Tesla charges too much and were misleading with the first promises of self-driving, but the lates version is great. I think if Tesla would drop the price to $50 a month it would be a much better value for the average driver. Tesla now gives one month free to try out Self-driving (even to existing owners) I tried it and liked it I pay $99 month and it works for me. I did not buy a Tesla to save the world. I like fast cars and technology. Tesla is both.

Buying FSD is essentially a bet, like investing in shares

There exists a steering wheel, and you are liable if the car wrecks itself. Hence, FSD is in fact a rip off.

FSD is neat but has it's limitations, it for example in my country would violate road rules in some cases from what i have seen in videos. I wouldnt use it at this point, i would use only features related to lane keeping assist and cruise control.

I'm on FSD 12.3.6 and it's 90% there. I'm totally comfortable with the car driving itself. The interventions are minor like adjusting speed and changing to a preferred lane. The next release is 12.4.3 and pilot users (about 10,000) have reported significant improvements. Let talk about the cost, it's $99/month.

I whole heartedly appreciate the approach of this video. It explains the limitations of the current system and highlights approaches from other competitors. IMO I use FSD everyday and after using it over a year it has shown substantial improvement. I never used it a year ago but now I use it daily. Time will tell which approach will win in the end, but everyone should do their own research.

OF COURSE IT'S A RIPOFF! It has never been safe and reliable, and Musk introduced it solely to boost the share price of Tesla before he took a big payoff by selling stock. "FSD" has been promised "next year" for almost ten years! It is a transparent FRAUD and only Tesla cultists have ever believed it was truly safe under all conditions. NOBODY alive today will see true "full self driving" in their lifetime. There are simply too many variables which are beyond the capabilities of current technology. How many drivers and pedestrians must DIE before the government steps in to STOP THIS DANGEROUS EXPERIMENT being carried out on public roads?

Carbon dioxide is a necessary gas for all life to exist. If C02 is a dangerous gas, where is the so called greenhouse roof that holds it in, it doesn't exist! ~ Mandating EVs and restricting C02 is not about the environment, but about controlling we the people. This is political, it's not science. A twenty year old ICE car is greener than a tesla. The Tesla car will expire before it's 10 years old, then it must be replaced requiring more energy to make a new car. The Tesla is charged with electricity made from carbon fuel at the power plant. ICE cars are better for the environment in so many ways. Don't believe what government fake science says.
