Nice thanks
Thanks for the advice! (Still find the name annoying tho)
Very interesting! In all my 72 years, I never knew that! I will do that if my new tuberous begonia ever starts blooming!!! lol! Thanks for a great lesson!!
Perfect video of pruning of tuberous begonias. I have not seen ANY videos actually showing the specific details! Thank you!!!!!!
Where is part 2
The taste is balsamic vineger or black jujube
Do you add some water in the fermenter ? I bought a similar machine on Amazon and the garlic becomes hard like rock (calcinated). When I add water, the taste is not there. Thanks for your recommendation.
Thank you!
I don't u derstand taking a triple set
I found them in California 😢
I am courious …what can you do with the female flower? Are these seeds that you can use later?
Perfectly concise instructions, thanks so much!
Just found this very informative video. I love begonia and have been buying them for a few years now. Will definately be going out this afternoon to do this. Thank you and I have subscribed.
Freezing Garlic Scape Pesto Every year, I never have enough silicone mold trays to freeze my garlic scape pesto. Here’s an option! Line a baking tray with parchment paper and scoop pesto onto the paper in portions. You can either use a cookie dough scoop or a spatula, as I did. Place your tray in the freezer until fully frozen, then remove the portions and store them in plastic zipper bags or containers. Remove as many as needed throughout the year. This method is mess-free and saves you having to purchase mild trays. *Save this post for future. Have you tried this method when freezing garlic scape pesto?
Cucumbers are fruit not vegetables, if it has seeds then it's a fruit.
You need to look for eggs on the underside of the leaves and smash them.
What about letting them go and collect the seeds? I think I’ve heard that’s possible with onions. One of mine has bolted and it’s still mid may, I would have time to grow again, from seeds I’d think
Yes, you definitely can let the flowers mature into seeds, then replant them in future.
This is the absolute best tutorial I’ve ever seen on Tuberous Begonia pruning - very easy to understand and straight to the point. Thank you so much! 🙂
Thank you! So happy it was helpful.
Thank you❤
You're welcome 😊
Ally the things you’re suggesting that you could add almost sounds like kimchi..
I used all purple cabbage and it was so beautiful and tasty.. it has a slightly different flavor than green cabbage kraut.
Are you in or from Canada or the Northeast?

Are softneck better or worse than hardneck garlic for black garlic? Can it work with elephant garlic? I have a dozen varieties of hardneck in the ground plus elephant and curious if anybody has favorite varieties to make black garlic. Thanks for any help.
I’ve only ever fermented hardneck garlic because that is what I grow, but I don’t see why not. Definitely try. 🙂👍🏻
What is the secret to grow these tomatoes? My Brads always die. People say they dont like water, but I have been extremely carefull and all my other tomatoes are fine. My Brads germinate just fine og look healthy until they start to develop their frist true leaf, then they turn purple and after that they start to curl and the leaves fall off one by one from down and up. I used 5x5 cm pots and gave 20-30 ml of water every third day (I even weighed the containers to make sure they actually were dry). Temp 23-25. I use LED lights with adequate PPFD and they are on for 16 hours. I don’t understand what I do wrong.
Wow. Terrific tutorial and info. Ty!
Thanks for watching!
lets see what you removed, not very helpful
I have an updated video that shows you exactly what to do.
How do you keep them watered?
I stand them in a cup and water by pouring about 1/2 an inch of water into the bottom. It wicks up naturally into the roll.
@@GardeningGirl Bottom watering it is haha

I love this! Julia I’m your biggest fan and I will use this video for my garden!
Great tips Julia! 💚
Thank you Misilla! ❤️
Brilliant
Thank you. 😀
Did you build uour potting table?
Yes it was custom made.
Is there a reason to hang with bulb side up?
For the moisture inside the garlic bulb to evaporate away from the garlic cloves, allowing them to cure properly for storage.
@@GardeningGirlbulbs recieve the energy from the stalks by hanging from stalks
Do you eat or sell all your delicious food?
Consume and preserve.
Do you just plant ginger from the store?
Yes organic ginger. Conventional ginger may have been sprayed to inhibit sprouting.
by a letting it sit a year do you mean 12 months? That's letting it sit 2 winters before i use as a mulch?
If you put it together in the fall and use mulched leaves, at least half should be ready by the late spring.
That I can do. Bought a battery mulching mower. Thank you. 😊
Spread on calabrese bread ! Awesome!
I have only the greenery. There are no flowers at all.
I do not understand. The female flower appears to have a fruit developing already, it has been pollinated.
The female flower has an immature tiny fruit beneath the flower itself. If the flower isn’t pollinated or isn’t pollinated sufficiently, that fruit will turn brown and die off. You see this too when the fruit begins to develop and suddenly develops a brown tip that eventually consumes the entire fruit. This is a result of insufficient pollination. Some pollination occurred but it wasn’t enough. I hope that helps.
Do you ever get nats of other flying bugs coming from the soil? I have had this issue..
The only time I have an issue with them is during seed starting season, when my grow lights are in full swing. I use many yellow sticky tags throughout the seed trays and it helps to control them. They are very common when starting seeds indoors. Try to avoid overwatering, watering from the top and standing water and it will help to prevent an infestation.
Will always love to listen to you. Thanks for such a nice education.
I REALLY REALLY enjoyed your…taste test…yeah…I really did…I wanted you to stop the chatter and just EAT UP…all the chatter was getting me ANXIOUS…hmm…I LOVE how you seem breathless while eating it…like it was tasting SO DARN DELICIOUS…LOL.( Patricia Alphonse from Trinidad and Tobago).
Where did you get them seeds from I would like some
black garlic taste great! I don't know why it taste a little bit sweet.
I went through a ton of videos trying to get answers. Finally, a video tailor made what I need to keep garlic and ginger alive over a cold winter. You are very knowledgeable and detailed in your explanations. Now with your guidance, I am preparing put some rhizomes in dormant pots, and play around with a window or grow light with a couple others. I'm also contemplating trying to get an early start in January. Thank you! 🌿
Thank you so much! January is a good time to start. To get mine to sprout like this, I leave them on a plate in the cupboard. It takes some time but I prefer this over laying them in water, which can cause them to mold sometimes.
Made a batch. Smelled rotten after 3 days in the dark. Much cloudier than the ones in your video.
Thank you. Clear and simple explanation.
Organik bakımlı bitkiler 👍⚘🙋♀️
What kind of soil do you use?
I use seed starting mix
