An amp like that deserves some extra dynamic range like EL&P or Yes Group on CD... to blow out the cobwebs. BTW, just got my Pioneer Spec 1 and Spec 2 out of the shop and discovered the area where I want them to live is not large enough, either side by side or stacked. (19" rack size) I have used the Spec 2 amp for years (250 watts x 2) but just never gave it a thought because that space always held a 70s vintage Kenwood, which is not "rack size".

Still have a 200 and a 500 kicking around somewhere - the 500 is highly modified, although I don't run it that often, still sounds pretty good.

I have the speakers from this system hooked up to my cmt-cp11 and they sound fantastic. I bought the speakers cheap on marketplace and I’m super happy. With an AirPort Express connected I can even get AirPlay music streaming straight to the stereo. Way better than anything new in the stores today!

Just got my hands on a Pye 70 too here in the Philippines... issues w/ backlight too mine has probably blown out now apart from that it works fine....and instead of Pye logo on the lefthand side it says ultimate.any ideas guys about this??

I just bought one, and the drive rubber band was slipping. I have it working now, and I can do the manual start and stop. All manual to move the arm, and the up and down work fine.. but..If I play a record the arm does not follow the groves?? any advice, thx in advance
