I think the real use for this could be to create a contact in another account. For example. You have an Opportunity. The opportunity has an owner and a lead. It would be nice to be able to create the lead contact in the owner account. But I can't find a way to create a contact in another account, only in your account. Matt, do you know any way of creating a contact in another account?

Hi Matt, this is very useful although I'm running into a problem I can't see a solution for, hope you can help! I've set up a flow to update a 'Due Date' column if a 'Status Update' column is changed. This seems to work fine, however I then get messages saying 'Your flow is running too many actions' and 'Your flow may be performing slow because it’s running more actions than expected.' This seems to be from the constant Power Automate polling SharePoint for changes, so I set the check frequency to 1 x Day - however the system won't save this and keeps reverting back to checking every 5 minutes, so I can't use my flow! Any suggestions on an alternative way to do this, or tips to make the polling less frequent? Thanks in advance!!

Matt, what exactly the compose will catch. What I mean is SharePoint list can have multiple rows changed basis the trigger time we put.

Hi Matt. Nice work here. Any idea why my recurrence parameter would not work? I can change it just fine, save it and it appears to have worked. Once I exit edit mode and it becomes obvious my changes did not take effect, I edit the flow again and the polling recurrence is back to one minute. No matter what I do, I cannot get this to work.

Hi Matt - love your videos! I'm working on a construction crew and am using planner to help keep track of task and assign to various members of the crew. If I have a master plan - then create a separate plan with specific tasks from the master, is there a way to link the task so they autoupdate between plans? The crew won't need the master, but they will have access to the smaller size project plans. It would be great if when they updated it in their plan it updated the master too. Thanks for your help!

Unwatchable. I sat through three ads, had to watch them to the end, and gave up.

That "few" minutes (later) is 19 minutes for me. It seems that the trigger is polling OneNote in intervals, even I configured the interval as "5 minutes" you have to wait for at least 20 minutes to see if the trigger had fired.

Hi Everyone, I really enjoyed this video, all though I am very new to Planner and Workflows so this can be frustrating. Plan limits is an issue for me and need to remove an assignee to all completed tasks as I spend hours doing this which is very time consuming. Just a note for anyone who found this for the same reason I did, running up against plan limits, and had the same question I did before testing: this does work on completed tasks! Very handy!

Good Video Matt. I've used this trigger before when using a list to manage data created using MS forms. I added conditions following the trigger that was based on where it was in the process. If it was a new entry, it send emails to certain people, if it was further in the process, it send emails to different people.

Thanks Matt. Just to clarify - if it is left as Current for the environment selection, it will automatically relate to whatever environment it is in. SO if we move the solution from dev to UAT to prod, leaving it as Current will use the table in that relevant dev/UAT/prod environment that the solution is in, and render the need for using environment variables for this unnecessary.

Thanks for this Matt 🙂! I particularly like the expandable expression editor. It's disappointing however that Microsoft haven't included parenthesis matching and colour coding, so for complex expressions, VS Code is still needed (but then lose the intellisense).
