Brilliant video. Thanks 👍
Thank you! ☺️
@@Quagmi since we’ve moved here we walk along the swcp and we spotted a folk at Holywell bay, they really a such a lovely bird.
Oh wow, I'd love to live in Cornwall or Devon, but my wife doesn't want to live too far from her parents... I don't think I had seen Choughs before I filmed this. They were interesting to watch and learn about when researching what they were 🙂
@@Quagmi Hi, very family oriented like jackdoors, they are the emblem on Cornwall, you get a alpine chough in Europe which has a yellow beak, they are in the crow family.👍
That is interesting, thanks ☺️
I love seagulls🐦
They are amazing ☺️
Gulls are an overhated species in my opinion. Especially the black headed gulls those are cute
I totally agree 🙂
Same❤
Haha it means the same thing FYI there is no difference in words both are doves or "pigeons" tho usually pigeon is French or referring to specificaly domesticated rock doves
Yes, I know but that is what most people (British at least) call them 🙃
Oh this is great to see, I lived in Romsey in 1993 near Southhampton when I was 12/13 and we used to get lifts or get the train into Southampton to go shopping, and get WH40k stuff I always loved going to see the docks when I was there. It is weird to see how old this looks
Thanks for commenting 🙂 I grew up in Southampton but have moved away now. I had a friend who lived in Romsey, and liked going to the Romsey Rapids
I have a mini doc coming up where I reference the Calshot Spit at OV. Would I be ok to use this footage?
Hi, thanks for asking. Yes that would be OK, but could you give credit to my channel? Thanks
@@Quagmi Of course I will. Thank you!
Great, you'll have to send me the link to your finished work 🙂
@@Quagmi I can say it will go on Steamship Shieldhalls CZcams channel. It’s a video about other heritage ships of the Solent.
Thanks, I'll look out for it
Go Eddie!
Haha, I didn't know he was called Eddie 😀
Looking so much better than now, with all the run down and empty sites.
I know, such a shame. Especially around the Bargate area
Thats 3 times the bigger than my kinder schools bathroom💀 i was too scared to go there so i pee on my self💀💀💀
Awww lil bro wants to steal our home😂😊
I got my love for voles through Volvy the Big handed field Vole

I love Moorhens! They are so cute!

bro i miss old oxford :(
It has changed a lot. I wish they would hurry up and finish the Botley Rd railway bridge works!
So cute ❤❤
I love them 😊
Is this spider venomous??
From what I have read, their venom isn't dangerous to humans
@@Quagmi Thanks. I have a great phobia with this spider when I was young, in our place it is said being bitten by this spider is a doom to death...you will die before midnoon that's why it's called "udto-udto" (udto means midnoon). I recently read this spider rarely bite and only kill small insects ☺️
Dove wins!
After many rematches though, the pigeon comes out on top 9 times out of 10 😔
"Stag Gates" present a sorry story for So'ton Civic Council. Corporate vandalism? Or practical planning? They were originally constructed around 1830 as the magnificent entrance to the Earl of Peterborough's former estate off Lodge road - 'Bevois Mount House', built in 1725. It was by then in the ownership of a local engineer, a Mr Betts, who (amongst other construction work) built the wooden 'Victoria Pier' (now known as the 'Royal Pier', opened in 1833 by Princess Victoria - but nowadays another Council Indecision Catastrophe as it still lies in ruins). By the mid 1850s, Betts had 'fallen on hard times', and sold the whole estate - most of it to speculative builders who built the present-day roads & houses. In 1900 the house became the home to the Hartley Institute - the forerunner of today's University. After the first World War the house was sold, demolished, and everything "redeveloped" to provide more housing. But the gates were acquired by the formidable William Borough Hill, the city's architect, valuer, agent etc etc.(recall Hill Lane?). In 1919 he donated them to the City - they were dismantled - the wrought-iron gates became the main entrance to the civic cemetary entrance on Hill Lane; and the huge stone gate-piers, surmounted by reclining stags, were re-erected either side of the start of Lodge Road from the Avenue - but with a tramline running right down the centre of the road. This meant, as road traffic increased, that cars got held up, and it became a bottle-neck. The Council's solution? Knock 'em down! However, nobody is sure what happened to the two stags, which were carved in stone. Tradition and rumour has it that they were stealthily recovered by W B Hill, on the back of two carts, and then buried in a garden, maybe in Regent's Park or Chilworth, to avoid detection. So the mystery is still alive . . .
Im Aussie and ones living in my bed
Haha, that will keep the bugs down!
@@Quagmiwell it's biting me and it hurts and it has babies and it's not helping keep the bugs away

Poor goose. Leave it alone!
Haha, yeah they're so mean sometimes
Me too - I hadn't seen one in person until about 10 years ago! There doesn't seem to be any where I grew up, but loads in Oxfordshire
I like Grey Heron birds.
They are amazing to watch!
Sunday 31.07.1994 for those wondering why it seems so much less busy, back then most shops if not all were shut on a Sunday.

I also had the chance to see this squirrel while visiting Lumpini Park in Bangkok. Great filming. Thanks for sharing. Big LIKE from Singapore. 👍

Bargate was my favourite shopping centre. Especially Sega park!!! Are you the person filming?
I loved it there too - I used to spend ages in GAME trying to figure out what game to buy next! Also bought clothes in the skater shops, and went to SEGA Park a lot. It's my grandparents who filmed it :)

It is too bad that we live in country that has too many rules and regulations to have that much fun ❤❤❤
