Russia's railways are a different gauge than the railways of China and both Koreas. So you either have to get off the train at the border or the train has to change wheels. The railways in Mongolia and the former Soviet Republics are also the same gauge as Russia

Not true. Anyone can technically do it, but all tourist visits to North Korea must be on an organised tour. For long this route wasn't accepted by KITC except for trips to the border area with Russia, but recently more tours involving this route have opened
Western idiots are so brainwashed lol These kids are indeed happy and Pyongyang is self sufficient. Although I cannot say the same about the rest of the country but I have a friend who opened a family mart ( Grocery store chain of South Korea) in the North under an agreement between the two governments. He says there is far too much propaganda about them in the world than the actual reality. Although it is true that they don't have much money and are generally leaner and rugged but this concentration camp for small mistakes doesn't happen. Just take care not to destroy or damage any images or posters of any Political leaders. Other than that, Life's good, less pollution, less people on the streets, Very clean cities, Abundance of Nature and warm hearted people although they don't have much.
