The houses on the hill are nice, but so are the ones in a canopy of large trees, a 5 min. Flat walk to the calm water cove. The beach has the best sand . Super clean. Bosques Del Mar, playa Marsella , San Juan is close by. Drive or go by electric kayak. The development has a nice developed park next to the beach. A BBQ at sunset is a nice way to end the day. If you don’t want to cook , the north end of the beach has a cafe over the lagoon and a beach bar on the sand. The lagoon has a resident crocodile,, Paco. . He usually hangs out below the tables he likes fish tacos. Paco is fat and has no desire to leave the lagoon

When I visit next year I'll bring you a crowd-funded espresso maker for the field: no power needed; just warm water. I use Bodum French-presses for my cold brews (for the same reasons you prefer not to use French press for hot brew). Cheers amigo!

Life is life! Some 6 months ago... I offered my help for free but was told, no. . I recently asked for a free bag of coffee (as to sponsor me) to warm me up on my next 1,000 km hike (maybe more). No answer! Oh well... We can't always win!😊

I left Nicaragua when I was 2 years old and Nicaragua has nothing to offer me there is no pros or cons it's a banana country...

That's crazy. Now you have to stay on the farm until the dry season 🤷‍♀️.

Ummm the scent of the soil once the rain stops ....I remember that, it was such a therapeutic experience every time....I miss it...

This video is gonna make me cry, I just have a memory from my childhood when my abuela was a live living in the Finca in Estelí, Nicaragua.

Why are they less interested in working on coffee farms? Are there other farm crops that provide them more benefits or are they trying to get away from agricultural labor type work?

Wow! Your farm is so lush and beautiful. Shit, if I was retired down there and you hooked me up with the boots and machete I'd crop the hell out of the weeds with you guys. lol. I actually wouldn't want to do anything workwise to take jobs from a local but, in all seriousness, one of my concerns for my upcoming retirement is being bored. I've only ever worked and I think the sitting around isn't good for a person. I guess there will be volunteering opportunities and that kind of thing. Anyway, thanks for showing a day in the life of your farm. It's awesome!
