Handfeeding Giant Tarpon and Sharks in The Florida Keys
In this video, we're filleting Mahi Mahi in the Florida Keys. Also, we're hand feeding Tarpon and Sharks with the discarded Mahi. It's gonna be a fun video of the aftermath fishing in the Florida Keys.

Fishing for mahi and Federal Waters in the Keys was a life-changing experience. But going to the dock and seeing those monster tarpon and sharks jump out of the water and take the carcass out of our hands was something I never ever expected. What an adventure!

Looks can be deceiving. The camera does make them look smaller than they are. We made sure each one was 20 inches to the fork.
That big beautiful Dolphin shot right out of the can, bummer. I learned that lesson before while I was kayak fishing, put a fish in the cooler that wasn't dead and overboard he went. Now I leave them on the floor until I know the have expired. I guess we learn as we go along. This looked like a fun trip.

Could you give me some suggestions for mahi mahi lures
I don't know the brand name of the lures we used, but I would recommend similar ones such as: Saltwater trolling lures from the brand “OCEAN CAT”, and you can also troll some dead sardines or pilchards. Those worked just as well too. You could ask any local bait shop for help, and you can look up Ocean Cat on Amazon.

Do you go during high tide ?
Yes. I use my local tide chart apps to help me go out at the right time.
Back in the late 60's I saw some old guys hook and land a 14' hammerhead and a 16' Blacktip at that same pier. They had to walk it to the beach to bring it in. Pier 60 was the only place I was allowed to fish all night while we were vacationed for two weeks. Big deal for a a little kid. A 8 year old. Very glad you git to go. P.s. when the Macs came in it was non stop action for hours. Enjoy and Fish On!

I'm at Clearwater Beach like i live there(only an hour away). There's plenty of parking, it might not be your ideal parking spot but there's parking. And the people (locals and tourist) are friendly. You're only going to get into something at Clearwater Beach if you yourself are being a beach.
I guess we all have different experiences trying to park at Clearwater Beach.🤷♂️

Not at the moment. I’m gonna try a few more spots before hitting the skyway again. I’ll probably hit some areas in Clearwater or Indian Shores before going back.
I tried freelining a greenback he didn’t even swim down he just floated on top i didn’t have a leader line tho will that help them swim down or what am I doing wrong ?
It’s important to have leader line so the fish your targeting won’t be able to see that somethings attached to your bait. I like to hook them in the nose because it’ll be less of a chance of killing the bait. There’s also a chance the bait could’ve been dead before hitting the water, it could’ve been the way you were handling it. When you’re containing your bait, do you have an aerator with you? if you don’t, getting one can help keep your bait alive for a lot longer.

Are these catchable in Maryland? my mom buys them and they're pretty good and the bones come out easy.
I have no idea. Check out some CZcams videos of people catching mackerel in Maryland. If you’re able to catch them up there, scout some good locations, and use the same techniques to catch them.
Dope we get em here in NY very rarely but they usually hit jigs as bycatch

Is Spanish Mackerel the same as king fish?
Nope. Those are 2 different fish. One has a black spot on the dorsal fin, the other has one color going down the fin.

North or south side better nowadays? Going to head there with my kids in the morning.
I personally like the South side better. It stretches a lot more into open water, and I seem to catch more on that side.

That’s what it takes. A lot of patience. Anyone can get lucky and bring some fish home, just need to be there at the right place at the right time.👍
