In the winter I get my hands on two wooden tongue depressor and place them on on the gasket then close the egg. It prevents the gasket from freezing together

He is so impatient. I put mine in the oven which has a glass door and waited until they were all well open. Then I opened the door, took them all out and enjoyed them with butter.
