This one-hour webinar, offered by the Organic Association of Kentucky (OAK) on April 24, 2024, guided farmer participants through applying for and implementing Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) support and funding, providing viewers with sure-footed next steps and connections with people who can help, from identifying conservation concerns to completing a successful contract through this Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) national program. The webinar was led by OAK's Conservation Outreach Coordinator Mad Marchal, NRCS Resource Conservationist Mary Ann Sharp, and experienced farmers Cortney Moses and Paul Dengel of GoodThymes Organic Farm in Williamsburg, KY. Cortney and Paul shared their farm story of the EQIP application, the funding process, and its on-farm benefits.
