What’s your number bro I’m in Chicago need electrical work done ?
Going into electrician school this year here in Chicago hearing yall speak Spanish is wasup 🇲🇽 Aqui andamos
You want to run those parallel. Connect the hot wire to the hot wire from the whip coming into the surge protector Hotwire. Then take a pigtail “small wire” and connect that to the disconnect box. Only way it really monitors it is Double tapping can lead to fires
FUN FACT:THE EARTH IS ROUND
Thanks for sharing! It was nice hearing your thoughts as you worked through it.
Your videos are the few amongst many about the trade, en los que realmente ves utilizacion real en la practica; y creo el unico en ChiT , es porque ud. no es egoista para compartir su experiencia y conocimientos, most of the experienced elect I've met or worked with are pretty selfish when it comes to share any . Thank you.
Don't double tap on the disconnect apparently its a fire hazard.
We are so screwed… in 15 years we will no longer have indoor plumbing. Import the third world become the third world.
I’m missing one for my disconnect switch will it affect my ac?
What are those screws called?
Doesn't the ground need to come from the fuse box/panel?
is it steaming because the coils are still hot from running? Or is that a corrosive cleaner and it's smoking as it eats those cooling fins?
THAT OLD CLOTH WIRE PIPE SMH IM A ELECTRICIAN HERE IN CHICAGO TOO
YOUR THE GOAT
Good job 😊😊
this fucked me up
Try ProBrown HVAC Coil Cleaner.
You’re leaving a lot of money on the table. Never charge per opening
I'm curious brother what's the optimal way in your opinion to estimate an entire new home wire. I'm an electrician in GA that mostly has worked in commercial and industrial settings. Have a customer that wants me to wire a custom home. Any help would be appreciated
Dont matter
I tried the same grounding through wall but it didn't work at all
Great video, I just relocated my AC unit about 5 feet from its original spot. After relocating it and installing everything how long do I have to wait till I turn it on?
Acid is what it is
Chemical reactions! I give your coils one year after
Coil cookin
Just because you have a metal box does NOT necessarily mean it is grounded. K & T (Knob & Tube) wiring is not grounded. Later they went to BX, the flexible, corrugated steel conduit that can be used as a ground path, IF all the proper fittings are installed and tightened. In the late 1940's they started going to Nonmetallic Sheathed cable, or NM (more commonly called "Romex"). My 1950 house was wired with Romex, however, it does not contain the bare ground wire that modern romex contains. Three prong outlets were not required until the mid-60's. This looks like the boxes I have, 4, 1/4 inch mounting holes for nails or screws, there is no 10/32 drilled and taped for the green ground screw. To tell if your box is grounded, take a meter and set it to AC VOLT. Put one probe on the hot brass screw and the other on the box, it should read 120 volts, if zero the box is un-grounded. Putting a jumper on there wont do anything.
The baby is calling bullshit..
Why didn't you just use then end of the vale core removal and use the valve to shut off instead of all that t stuff with a valve on it. There valve on that shradder removal tool already.
😂 guys take it easy, I’m pretty sure this is satire.
How much did you end up charging for this job.
Not enough I think like 13,000$ cash
Is that a Goodman unit?
It is
@@mushroomcastle5184 I've been curious about them. Need to upgrade. How have you found them to be? As far as reliability and quality
@@humanbeingfromearth I only install Goodman, since 2004 , usually never ever have issues. Cheap, parts available For AC Nothing more than single stage cooling with piston Furnace maybe get 2 stage heating
This is not good but I'd rather see that than 8 wires on a receptacle.
Inspector ain’t doin none of that He’ll be in and out in 5-10 minutes and miss all kinds of mistakes Not sure where u live but where I’m from inspectors are in and out
Are you using nitrogen or refilling it with air?
Nitrogen
@@mushroomcastle5184 You're better off using air. The molecules are smaller and it's way cheaper.
What i noticed is that you kinked the F out of the pipe that you took credit for bending. Im not so sure those first conduits are supported within 36inches of that box. As far as why they dont just put another offset into the box off the stud, maybe they are at the bend limit of 360degrees between boxes or maybe its to make the pull easier.
am from nassau bahamas and am still trying to learn pricing your video helps me alot
You are correct Ideally, your order will be in the computer system, and the day before he will have called to confirm. And even then we’re probably not gonna pull the equipment because 50% of the people that asked for something to be pulled don’t show up. If you have a great counter and a great supply house, they will stand on their head to make you happy, but that requires total honesty.
What's the point of using EMT in a house?
In Chicago it’s code The pipe itself provides ground , The pipe protects against the wire getting chew or cut Plus it’s cheaper than running romex Few pipes you can send sometimes up to 12 wires
Ok so let’s say it’s a different color. How does that help U still don’t know which is hot and which is switch leg
I would have jumped it out, r to y. Or at least use an insulated tool
Is that concentrated, coil cleaner? Or is the coil very dirty?
And now it’s not water proof
Conduit Raceways Not pipes
Why are the neutral wires coiled up?
That’s how they come from factory But the FURTHER DOWN you get the MORE of that white wire you need. If you notice the bottom ones have 2-3 loops Top ones 5-7
Who’s running conduit in wood frames?
He ain’t lyin
I would be embarrassed to run conduit into a panel like that
Those things are a scam - the manufactures make a hefty profit and the lawmakers were glad to make them required - something to do with a "kickback" - whatever that is.
The main thing to look for is to make sure there are none of those damn arc fault breakers. Put GFCIs where needed and skip the bogus AFCI's.
Thank you for this video great information. We all start somewhere keep it up bro!!
Do you have ever tried to use wago clamps?
No , never Only way I would EVER USE THEM is if they come pre built on Light fixtures , they call it QUICK CONNECT But for infrastructure power ( constantly on ) no
