My only true friend that has helped me out with my depression and anxiety, who I’ve only known for a year and has already exceeded all of my expectations for a friendship, is moving back to his home in Mexico. So ya, that really sucks. He hasn’t moved yet, and I am already starting to feel like our friendship won’t last long distance because all I do is bring him down with me when I talk about my depression. He says that he is fine with me talking to him about my problems, and I always offer to reciprocate for him, but I know that when I tell him that I hate myself and feel like I would be better off dead, that he can’t take it. I feel awful that I put that burden on him in the first place, but I just didn’t know what else to do at the time. It just hurts so much that I feel like I ruined our friendship right before he is about to leave

It's amazing the number of people I know who have been super unsupportive of me giving up coffee and alcohol, so I certainly get where you're coming from there with the pressure to just 'have a little bit'
