@@alkalinemk1588 terry has mostly been the same throughout, ex crack shot is as fast as it used to be on release and light rising tackle is a really good addition to his anti air game as it hits crossups semi consistently. To answer you're question though there has not been major patch since this but it's been confirmed they will be releasing a new patch sometime this year, so if you can grind before it goes live you'll be good to go

She still has strong neutral and defensive tools that net her a lot of dmg, crC into qcfA is still ridiculously cheap as on whiff you'll be recovered in time and on CH you're looking at minimum 25% dmg if you invest bar. Aerial buttons are still ridiculously strong with each one having a particular strength (one of the better crossups in the game with jump A). I think with the slower CD startup she might struggle in some matchups against the top tiers with there ridiculous stand C's for example (Geese Ryo Beni) etc, but she has decent tools to combat them (I think her sweep in particular is a solid option that can be whiff cancelled into safe annoying specials) and her core strengths as a character are relatively the same from the previous season, albeit slightly toned down.

@@Lord_Tenrai Everything you said is true. But she's mid tier imo now. That fast CD stops hops a lot better than anything else. Her air normals are strong if her opponent is on the ground, but she's not so good against Iori, Ryo, Geese, Isla, etc in the air. I'm comparing her to Vanessa because they're both solid with good damage if you invest meter. But this list puts her just below Ryo which is just not true. She's got no wake up dp, no projectile and her anti airs and neutral and even combos (unless you're a god at execution) have all been toned down. Just my opinion though. You also see far less of her online and at tourneys. She's nowhere near as good anymore. She's like Bjenet, Vanessa and Mai. Not a weak character by any means, just not super strong.

@@theworthlessdrone5220 I agree that she struggles in the air to air game vs characters with great air to airs (like Iori jB/D which can cover a variety of scenarios) but Luong just has to play patient and anti air with crC and far A into qcfA (if the counter hit lands) as more likely then not they will opt for early air to airs as her jumping buttons can be difficult to contend with once active, which she can exploit into a weird mind game were 9 times out of 10 it'll actually be more beneficial for characters to conduct a more grounded approach (same example, I feel like Luong actually struggles a lot more against Iori's far C then his jump buttons imo). I think though there is merit to the argument that she might be too high up, but I think overall I would probably drop her down only one tier as her dmg output and overall safety/annoying gameplan makes up for her lack of option coverage when committing to certain buttons if that makes sense?

@@Lord_Tenrai Yeah she's still super safe. Even Ren at certain ranges on the ground is difficult to punish on block. But to me, crC is a read/react strategy and it won't dissuade your opponent from jumping unless you got meter and get a counter. Also every character has different jump timings and buttons. So many times I either trade or get hit because I hit it too early and whiffed then get walloped with a full jump in combo punish. crC hitbox is also infront, so I get crossed quite a bit. If her crC was like Ryo or Rock, then I can see that argument but it's mediocre. Trust me, Luong was actually better on release as I've been maining her ever since. Any character with a decent projectile and solid buttons is a bad matchup for her. Her greatest strengths are her range, hit confirms and cross ups. He space control used to make her top tier but now with her new CD you have to use st.lights and pray it's stops them lol. I actually prefer Vanessa to her for most projectile characters. Also dude, the number of times people EX dp randomly is just absurd. Hard to pressure or setup any gameplay when no one respects anything. Constant mashing and as soon as that doesn't work, it's an EX dp... I'll close with that just about every single pro has dropped her. She's just not that good anymore but she was.

Yeah I think I covered Yamazaki in a previous video and he only got combo consistency/damage changes so at the time didn't feel I needed to mention him again, but I'll take your criticism forward and try to be more concise next time. Rewatching this is a bit of a tough one, think I was still tired from looking after my newborn at the time haha

I think Rock is one of the most cheap 'honest' characters in the game 😂 dp hitting both sides makes it easy to do with certain crossups and just general aerial threats, speaking of which his jCD is ridiculous, one of the best in the game, genuinely has no hurtbox around the foot (takuma from 13 vibes for sure). Obviously install is insane but it's very expensive and I do wish hard edge (qcbC) was still a hard knockdown, but you have to play him a lot more well rounded then his counterpart Iori (who can absolutely maul the opponent with knockdown into safe jump loops). Overall I think Rock is generally quite strong but pretty straightforward but nonetheless a welcome addition to any fundamentally sound kof player

@@Lord_Tenrai Thanks for the explanation and I mostly agree. Rock's biggest weakness is the lack of a reliable crossup. His j.b can do it, but the hitbox is when trying to crossup is very small and difficult to land, and even if you do you have barely any hitstun to connect with an attack, so it's not with trying most of the time.

What make you say that? Personally I think she's fairly solid in the tier she's in, she doesn't have any reversal and her combo damage is weaker than it was on release. The only thing I like about her is her buttons and movement but there are characters above her that complete a similar role far more efficiently

Najd is probably the most volatile character in the game, I feel like she can win fast if you get EX grab to install a level 2 dropkick, but with her poor defensive options and lackluster grounded buttons, she can probably lose the fastest as well, which in a game where characters can pump out huge amounts of damage is just not good if you ask me personally

Athena I feel although her zoning is good, her grounded buttons are a bit too linear and her damage is just a bit on the lower end. Her movement is very nice and if you can control the ground well with zoning and spacing can do well but I think overall it's more complicated to win with her than other zoners in the game

Dolores is pretty nice yeah, alongside Joe probably one of the few characters I can see going up a tier, but I feel like everytime she uses a fireball she needs to massively condition the opponent to block it or she will be in a world of hurt (if they jump it for example) and seeing as her fireball game is very important to execute her strategy I think it brings her down a tier imo

Najd is a 2S char.. like O yashiro and Yashiro. They 3 has near no counter available after they fail some atack or move.
