Hi Mike! I have a large quantity of rolling stock featuring this Fantasy Road. As far as I can tell, this Rail Road never existed. Someone was so infatuated with this scheme that they commissioned multiple manufacturers to produce special runs of these D&M cars. I don’t know who did this, nor when nor where. The cars though are Mint, New from the factory. If anyone else has any info regarding this road, please post here. Thank you.

It is indeed sad to see what was one of the wonderful attractions in Lake George pass into history. My family used to vacation in the New England states from about 1956 to 1962 . I can still recall staying in Lake George Village in one of Motels ( which by the way is still there and operating ) it was either 1960 or 1961 and the Motel owner was telling my parents that a New Attraction had just opened up in Lake George not far from our Motel. The memories of that visit to Gas Light Village are still with me. The New England area can Thank " Charles Wood " for not only Gas Light Village but a number of other Road Side Attractions that he had developed that were Very Popular at the time. The late fifties and early sixties were a wonderful time in the New England States.

You forgot the Tornado Scare House ride and the indoor coaster Nightmare at Crackaxle Canyon. Both were located in the Ghost Town area. Though the building that housed the Nightmare still stands, but the coaster unfortunately doesn't. If you go on the Desperado Plunge Flume ride you can see through the open back door that it's no longer there inside. The coaster was actually pretty fun, but due to capacity issues the wait times were over lengthy (signs posted at each point 1 hour wait - 2 hour wait). And now the Alpine Bobsled is on the chop block, but the Bobcat coaster looks pretty cool.

Is there any chance you could get me a picture of the circuit board with everything plugged in? The back come off easily. I'd really appreciate any help.

How did you wire it DC, it says in the manual AC, I bought brand new old stock from Ebay and it says to connect it to 18 volt or less AC but not lower than 15 volt and it spun like crazy then it blew an engine or fuse, I did every thing as per manual, how did you wire it DC? Was the Huss Skylab already at the park in 1987? czcams.com/video/qWMX7r0UOBo/video.html I assume not, as it is not featured in this video and was probably "hot" when it was at the park, so it might have been filmed. Does anyone know what years they had the Skylab and the Rainbow (both from Huss) at the park?

Miss the train ride behind the plunge ride. I think it was removed when that useless Nightmare building/coaster came in. What a shame because that train went through the cave and through an area designed just for it (like the wild west & desert theme) instead of just meandering through the park.

I totally forgot about the old cave & desert area with the other train ride they used to have. It also went into the cave. This was I think removed when the Nightmare building went in. Seems like it was so much more livelier back then because they had actual shows besides the high-dive act. The thrill rides were just a compliment to everything else there.

Thanks for posting this. I just went there today, now I’m on youtube reminiscing about the way I remembered it when I was younger. It’s still fun but it has lost a lot of the character that it used to have. The country singing and sheriff vs cowboy outlaws show ect, ect. It’s all about crazy rides and $6 soda now, but that’s the way it goes I guess. Thanks again!
