i have a boxer i rescued at 4 months old from an amish farm puppy mill why are they still allowed to operate the amish and mennonites make so much money at the misery of these dogs my pup got hit by a car and the farmer was going to kill her he said she was worthless because he couldnt get 800 dollars because her hip was broken thank god a friend heard of this called me and we adopted her got the surgery she needed and she was so grateful she is the sweetest girl and we spoil her rotten we just rescued a pup off craigs list no one wanted him because he had a brindle pit bull coat we adore him he is beautiful in and out please everyone donate and rescue there are so many dogs in shelters looking to be loved and they are so grateful for a good home adopt dont shop

How could people be so cruel and evil to do this to innocent sentient beings? They don't deserve this. They have the right to be loved and feel safe in a family that loves them. But, at times these families turn on them, abuse, are cruel and abuse these dogs or cats for no reason. Is that fair? The laws have to toughen up. Especially over there in the UK. I live in NYC and there's no animals on the street and the laws are tougher here. You WILL do jail time. Not a slap on the wrist. These people think that these animals were put here to serve us. You're wrong! They're supposed to be our friends because be sure that they'll die for you and protect you without thinking twice. They don't deserve this suffering. Shame on all of those who have done this or are currently hurting them. I truly believe in karma and if you don't there's a God who's looking down and watching everything and you'll pay. Be kind to those who are kind to you. Regardless of the species or kind of animal you have. It'll make you a better person in the long run and you'll have a forever friend who's faithful till the end. This is meant to all pet owners.

I know this is way late of a comment but thank you for not judging the family for surrendering their dog, I agree you should research before getting a dog and that they are family members but I still rather they rehome them then keep them in a situation that doesn't meet the dogs needs, as well as judging or bashing people for surrendering causes people to ditch then on the side of the road instead of bringing them to a rescue!

My cat works hard for his living bringing me a couple of rats/mice each week, though he rarely eats them, I guess he thinks I need the nourishment.

No! I remember those magicians that had a white lion. They had a show in Las Vegas. They had that lion for years. One show all that changed. One big problem with bully breeds they didn't mention is that a lot of them have breathing problems. Their soft palette is too long and their nostrils too small. Just imagine telling someone your dog needed a nose job in order to breathe.
