    This content is the guidelines of how a teacher be as effective as he/she is. Proof that everything the teacher teaches is fair, clean and worthy to be tackled. The dealing from personal matters to learner's lifestyle is as easy as picking roses, but roses have thorns. PPST serves as the light for every teacher to understand a class setting and to formulate various activities for learners that a specific learning is meaningful.

It gives focus on the skills and strategies that facilitate the teaching and learning process. It aims to produce better teachers in our country by improving their qualifications skills and by increasing their levels of knowledge, practice, and professional engagement. Being a teacher is not an easy task as many people could think. To be a teacher does not only imply to know the subject to be taught, it also includes being willing to constantly improve oneself integrally, as much as updating the resources and materials one uses in teaching. The Philippine Professional Standards for Teachers (PPST) is very relevant where it aims to produce better teachers in our country by improving their qualifications skills and by increasing their levels of knowledge, practice, and professional engagement.

    • @MissMarj
      @MissMarj Před 3 lety

      Hi Xofia, I think one of the issues in grading performance based activities is the depth or scope in assessing learning of the students. When we create rubrics for activities, it takes a lot of time and effort to think of the extent of assessing the students' performance. Sometimes, we might miss a certain standard or feel like this criteria might not be enough to assure that students really learned the knowledge and skill expected. As a teacher, this is usually my struggle in creating rubrics which is usually used in performance based assessment. I hope I answered your question :)
