You have to think about the MPC as an audio interface, it’s a standalone device with midi controller capabilities. Most other midi controllers don’t have an audio interface built in at the price point of the MPC One

I have the mpc in controller mode so at that point it uses which ever audio interface you have selected in fl, which is the apollo in this case 🔥🔥🔥🔥 it’s like everything is fused

the mpc is going to the mac from usb for controller mode but I have all sound coming from the apollo, im not using the mpc outs in this setup to be clear

I was using the video capturing software for this particular video but the daw I use would be protools and fl if I was recording or working on a project. I have a fl mix vid with presets/template video coming up, stay tuned

😂 I tried that as well but plugins don't work directly only the content for plugins like maybe presets and virtual instrument content, it also work for mac apps if you dont want certain apps directly on the internal storage

With this method they are locked as you set them. The way you want to use it would require the original out the box way to do it with only channels of 8 at a time on the right side of the board

No I’m only using 2 channels, mpc main outs to the preamps of the ssl, then from the ssl mainouts to the preamps of the Apollo

That’s what I used to do back in ‘08. Idk if the Rewire feature is still a big deal seeing that your using a different approach and plug-in. But Rewire was how you did this in the past. I recently just stopped in 2020 when Fl made it easy for vocal tracking.

Rewire is retired along with rtas plugins in newer protools. Protools has used aax format plugins now for years.

Yes, I had to resign into my account when I updated fl in the settings for program activation then it worked correctly

make sure logic is updated to the current version, that fixed this specific issue for another user who asked me this on instagram. also when i first tried to setup the x32 i messed up a few times, i had to delete those previous attempts saved inside the advance midi assign section and start from scratch. then it saved

since fl lack the recording features of the other daws I think its very useful

not sure, sounds like an mpc issue though, I'd start there. you have any thing else plugged into the mpc other than the x32 at the same time? If not, your issue is probably something simple, you may just be overlooking a setting. try things like using a different usb cord on the x32 to the mpc, sometimes bad cords cause software glitches

another thing, if you use that x32 EDIT app to change things and your x32 not on the same connection it may not have updated and still be on 44.1k, I cant think of anything specific to cause that issue though

You have to setup on the x32 then use the second knob to change it to 44.1 instead of 48.

fl gives you a warning message that it needs the original location if things go wrong before you change that file location for any reason. I started there for trouble shooting lol

Yes it’s possible, that’s a great use of the feature actually. But remember not to have your mic to close to the speakers to prevent feedback.
