This is great, Love this Podcast and I also enjoy it on CZcams. I would say, maybe not starting off with Faction abilities for easy learning and also no twists. Use the common abilities, then introduce Faction abilities!

Follow up (as promised 😉) - "To the Walls" requires at least objective token exists within 1 hex of no one's territory. It cannot be scored if there are no objective tokens present there. More info: The best parallel in the FAQ to support this that I'm aware of is "Forbidden Ground" which cannot be scored if you hold 3 objective tokens in enemy territory while there are no objective tokens in your territory and no one's territory. There must be at least one objective present in those territories (and you must hold all of the objectives in the those territories).

Noob question but doesn't Vile Blood save a fighter if used at the right time? I've only played them once a while ago, but thought it gave -1 damage to the attack that would take someone out of action.

Hallo! My thoughts on the list with a nominal amount of testing, when I built the deck I’ll be honest I thought I fit the “voidcurse a fighter upgrades” in, I totally agree with the objective swap, the reason I had the OG one in was on the recommendation of my buddy who played a lot of the arena saying it was hard to do as a surge. As for the upgrade swaps my only thought is perhaps swapping the +1 wounds for the other voidcurse upgrade and instead of the range 1 attack keeping the range 2 ensnare. Reason being twofold, one range two means more valid targets for thrallmaker, and also, while less helpful after everyone is voidcursed it’ll help more with getting people voidcursed since it’ll tech against dodge warbands

The win I took with the hungering plague was against Magores. I hit 4 3 damage attacks thanks in no small part to the reroll and was able to ping or lethal the last health off of each of his fighters. Rabidius can definitely do work with the reroll from the parasite, but the fighter with it is in a very precarious position the whole game

Great cast guys. Really nailed the Inspiring Presence stigma. Criminally underused for sure. I recently used Inspiring Presence with Flameseekers. Funky setup: Runefather swinging his big ol Bokaz at an injured Chimera. I opted to not Ignite Weapon because hitting on 3+ was a bit too iffy and on average, it died anyway. I did my damage, I didn’t miss on the first swing so that double was saved. The chimera lived on 2 wounds thanks to a big wiff on swing 2. That’s bad news bears, I need to stop this thing mauling my dudes. Inspiring Presence on a Scalebreaker who ran over and lobbed an ignited axe for the miss-into-crit trick shot took it out. In hindsight, probably wasn’t the best play. I got greed trying to save dice to use elsewhere and ended up using more dice to get the kill. But it did give me the opportunity to amend my mistake and push the dice back in my favour. It’s a super cool ability that I’ve used maybe twice ever. It feels like one of those super situational abilities that are undeniably fricken awesome when you get the chance to really take advantage of it.

Back when I taught my brother-in-law the game, he really enjoys straight-forward missions centered around killing things. One thing I learned during those games was that Inspiring Presence is severely underrated in any match where a one-two punch of a leader combined with a solid fighter can win you the game. It’s a great trick to keep up your sleeve for No Mercy or assassination missions
