* OMG! I first saw Willie perform in 1980 at Chicago-Fest & fell in love with his music! And now I seen him again in La Salle, Illinois 44 years later! Warmed my heart to hear him still Jammin'! I've been writing songs myself for over 45 years. Willie is such an amazing singer/songwriter/story-teller and definitely one of my faves! Thank you Willie for taking the time to visit me! Saw him at the Bottom Line in NYC which had long tables pushed up to the stage. At a particular ecstatic moment, he stepped off the stage onto our table filled with drinks, etc. He was very dexterous - stepping around bottles - don’t think he knocked over any!

This was such an incredible evening for me. Not only was I able to bring one of my lifelong musical idols, Mike Peters, to Buffalo and play such a legendary venue, but I was able to witness this incredible musical collaboration with Willie. This moment, as well as the whole night, are forever burned into my memory.
