This guy's Briliance has never been truly acknowledged.
I’ve always thought this song was a reference to space oddity. I’ve seen Roddy in interviews talk about Bowie influence. Listen on the record how it fades in on the first two chords of Space Oddity. And it mentions being cast adrift by a half tone shift, a reference to how space oddity modulates a half step

The phrasing on this and the other songs is totally different than past recordings so maybe that may disprove so nonsense he's not really singing..he probably uses backing vocals and auto tune..but he just recorded a jazz album and sounds better than I expected

this was a special arrangement done in 2012---it was for a CD, "FRANKIE'S FAVES" which is only sold at his concerts and only performed at live concerts mostly only in the UK
