There was some really strong acid going around at the Tanelorn festival in Australia in 1981, so was severely tripping at the main stage area to see the Church playing although tbh I couldn’t work out who they were then until I looked at the lineup the next day 😂

No other version of this, by Joy Division or any or cover, comes close to this recording, particularly in terms of intensity.
