This just came up in my recommended videos. That backyard track is friggen dope! Is this the same lokie you guys just re did?
yep, thats it! we did this between 2004 and 08 at my dads old house. he ended up moving so we pulled it all up. good times!
Is that coal authentic from UG? lol
it is! a nice chunk of skidmore i took home from the 7 foot slope when it was still open. smashed it in a bucket and sized it with a screen. the blue coal car is also dyed with blue coal dye from a bag we found in the huber breaker when they were knocking it down.
@@cessna54tangoI had to re watch it for the blue coal car, that’s awesome 😂👍
Nice video! What is your camera setup?
thanks! primex replay xd
Hey there, I’m a pilot out of KWBW any chance you still have that baby ace?
Holy shit balls that looks fun mate 💨💨💨💨
I hesrd you up there. In my heart i was with you. I can barely walk now. Thanks for being the most remarkable aviation kid i ever met
Hi Tim, I just saw this now. sorry to hear that! thanks for the kind words. hope to see ya up here one day.......
Ok.! I'll bite. What's the engine?
Continental A75
A Powell, nice.
How many HP is this motor dude?
225
Great video, loved the terrain on approach!
You guys where alot closer than that Gopro makes it look haha.Sweet man!! The break away at 14:56 was insane footage.
My kids love watching your flying videos!
Thats the best father's day gift imo only one up on that is a cab ride in their Reading 2102!! Great Gift!
Thanks! yes, word on the street is they will be offering that next year. course its going to be a mad house to get them haha!
Peasants? Really?
yes, really. peasants.
Wondering how much this cost... Trying to do my research and treat my mama to a cab ride herself. Two tickets for a round trip in the fall is $138... Hoping a cab ride is under $300
I think it's 100 dollars per person.
What does "Intermediate Known" mean?
Its a program flight for the international aerobatics club. in a contest everyone flies this sequence and is judged on their flying.
Great fun flying, where do you fly from?
Skyhaven Airport 76N, Tunkhannock Pennsylvania
@@cessna54tango nice landscape. Me at EHDR the Netherlands
I have flown many happy hours in the two Baby Ace airplanes that I owned in the 1970s. One was a 'C' model and the other 'D' model. For some reason my 'C' model flew much nicer than the 'D'. I finally damaged my 'C' model in an off airport landing when the landing gear broke hitting a gofer hole. Of all the airplanes I owned my Baby Ace was a favorite... tied with my 90hp clipped wing Cub. I finally traded my D model toward an almost new Citabria 7ECA.
Hi Charles, I only flew this D model. It was a fun airplane for the 3 years I owned it. I bought it for something economical to fly while finishing up my biplane.
Very gentle biplane
Very nice! Love it!
Looks like you are back in action. Good to see your videos again.
Never saw anything like this before wow.
Nice..was that your wake at 1:51? That was a great flight and that landing was stellar.
haha yep, i just hit it with the left wings thats why it rolled that way. good catch.
Nice flying brother!!!Sweet plane!!!
I just want one for my living room
I swear I hear a Holley fuel pump..😉
Very nicely done, Chris!
Your layout is wonderful. I enjoyed watching it. Hope you have a wonderful Sunday.
Great video 🚂🚂
Nice! Cousin Rich Saresky
That's a super docile biplane. Very nice.
My comments are from ground level! Not the video. Who was the blood red guy the other day? He went at max v into a vertical that must have been 6+ gs
Your corners were perfectly square and even. I love watching. Wish I could figure out how to video you.
I enjoy watching aviation videos like this. Just a thought though, placing the camera on one's head and bobbing the camera around while doing preflight and inflight tasks is the visual version of fingernails on a chalk board.
I like this sound engine
what do you use to ballast the tracks? great video!
oil dry! its cheap and it work great!
Chris - what a great all around fun layout. BTW is that a glass full of bourbon in it? What's your poison?
Ah! Captain Morgan Private Stock
Had the pleasure of riding in the cab of the 2102 way back when but never rode in a caboose. Cool video!
Great layout.
Nice! Also can't wait to see the coal breaker finished and the town fleshed out!
Love the coal breaker! I can't wait to see it all finished!
Amazing video!
Is this the one you were building when I was out there? I think Banks has my cell phone number.
Sure is Doug! ill get it off him!
That's pretty cool Chris. Looks like a lot of fun! Great way to spend Fathers Day!
Thanks Chris for "The Best Day Ever"
It truly was a great day and a good time was had by all.....especially me, Chris' Dad, riding in the cab of #425. Reading & Northern's excursion is first rate and everyone should take the ride back in time.
The blue dye was mixed with water and sprayed onto the coal as it exited the breaker. It told the public which breaker the coal came out of, and they were proud of the quality coal produced. I've heard other breakers used different colors. Anyway, if you got blue coal you got quality coal. My father used to work at the Huber breaker.
Although I live in Arizona, I used to live in Wilkes-Barre, just south of Scranton. I remember the radio station WARM, the Mighty 590. I listened to it many a night as I either built models or worked on my trains. I think the ad for the station said, It's cold outside, but it's only WARM for me!. Brings back memories for me.
Hi Joe, thanks for enjoying our Layout and Christmas story! Glad you could relate!!
