Jensen Huang: How to Create Trillion Dollar Companies
7 Steps to Create Trillion-Dollar Companies by Nvidia's Jensen Huang:
1. Doing something that has never been done before, creating a new market rather than competing in an existing one. As Huang put it, "I'd rather be a market maker, market creator than a market taker."
2. Pursuing something insanely hard to do that requires long-term commitment and resilience. If it's really difficult and time-consuming, less committed competitors will likely give up.
3. Aiming for a potential market size of zero billion dollars, because if it's never been done before, the market doesn't exist yet. The goal is to create something entirely new.
4. Focusing on reasoning and intuition rather than spreadsheets and existing demand. Huang emphasized the importance of having a strong thesis and being able to explain why something matters and why it's hard.
5. Thinking beyond current limitations and physical constraints. In the future, Huang believes most value creation will come from non-physical things.
6. Being willing to make gut calls and long-term bets on projects with no existing customers or proven demand, based on a conviction that people could and should want it in the future.
7. Dedicating years to difficult projects without clear near-term payoffs. Huang joked that if something takes years, "you can kind of flounder around for a couple years" without people noticing or losing faith.
So, there you have it: imagining a future that doesn't yet exist, pursuing an original and ambitious vision with total long-term commitment, and not being constrained by current market realities or spreadsheet-driven thinking.
The goal is to create an entirely new billion-dollar market through hard work, even if that means years of effort without obvious results.

The Mysteries Embedded in Musical Compositions

Cristal by Cesar Camargo Mariano is an emotionally moving piece. It moves me deeply when I listen to it because it reminds me of something I can't quite put my finger on, but it gets my mind contemplating larger existential questions and a greater purpose. This piece is the labyrinth for me to figure out the questions. The composition is playful and serious, fast-paced and engaging. Inside the ...

To change a system from within that system is by definition “limited to the rules of the system”. It’s proven that a replacement system has a much better chance of changing from outside its own boundaries.

The mind will do anything necessary to sustain its one human life; so much so that the mind cannot fathom it's own non-existence. An organization is like one human life, it's network of people form the mind of the organism. That collection of people cannot fathom their own non-existence. So the organism will do anything to sustain the life of the organization.

I love how many people are talking about government but I forgot where Ford was nationalised and run by labor unions during this time. Oh yeah it's not; it's a capitalist entity only interested in what it can get for itself. I don't get where government comes into this. Complain all you mouth-breathers want, bottom line is you can affect what government does. You can vote, make your voice heard and participate, so for all its flaws it can be influenced. Corporations have no such restrictions. They are complete tyrannies. Sorry if this upsets some but too shallow thinkers here. Sure the government can be corrupt. Corporations through lobbying are by default corrupt or at least corrupt-curious.

Matt Damon's response was "It's coming straight from the Deuce" i.e the top boss gave the order so all bureaucracy is shattered/non existent

This is more accurately describing the character of the bureaucrat. Bureaucracy is often double edged sword, but doesn't have to be. There is a delicate balance between order and chaos that should be maintained for progress. The people that do not like bureaucracy have no patience and the people that do understand its purpose. That said, with all systems, there are exploits and an exploit that is able to thrive for a while in a bureaucracy can be difficult to remove because of the policies and procedures. Point is, when you have a bug in your code, don't delete the entire code - delete the bug.

It always seems "obvious" to people who don't get it, but the moment you need to rely on other people to get deadlines met--every "I'm a go getting unique individual with drive" always reinvents beauracracy. They think they found a better way to do things, a better way to do plan things, a better way to partner with people. And then 1-2 product cycles later they reinvent from scratch every red tape they thought was unnecessary. Here's the truth--no one likes the red tape, especially those who's job is to manage the red tape. The red tape exists not because people want it, but because it turns out it is more efficient, consistent, and productive than any other process.
