Loved North Cascades. So remote and beautiful. Every mile traveled by car and on foot was totally worth it. If you haven't visited, i highly recommend that you add it to your bucket list!

Such a beautiful area and so many pretty wildflowers. I think that stood out the most is the color of those lakes - such a pretty blue color.

The Cascades are really beautiful. Wild flowers are always nice to see. When I'm hiking, I love seeing flowers along the trail. It's nice seeing a mountain lake that doesn't have speedboats on it making noise. That was cool seeing the PCT. That log bridge was so cool. I think I could hear the power humming. John from MI

i DO NOT recommend this method for expensive carbon poles. all this did was scratch the hell out of the poles. the boiling option also did not help! Eventually I had to cut through the tips with a saw to get them off. there was adhesive residue on the pole indicating the tips had been glued on. I have the BD Alpine Z carbon

Beautiful cascades! Looks like no lack of water in those falls and rivers. Just returning from a trip to Kentucky, where leaves are already starting to change due to drought. Hard to imagine with all the rain we've had in CT! The beauty of God's creation!

Beautiful nature

I have been at Lake Chelan. There was a waterslide park where we went with the kids. Lots of fun. And a blueberry farm where you could have a delicious breakfast. But I never had the pleasure of taking a boat trip on the lake. The fires look crazy. There are often fires in the area. In 2015 when we were there, it was pretty bad as well... It must be hard to fight it. My host brother is a firefighter at Spokane. Have a great day! Kaat

A day to remember! Beautiful valley scenery with the 4 hr boat trip on the lake, a day of relaxation between our otherwise busy hiking and driving itinerary, the flames and smoke so close but safely observable and time together. Pretty awesome!

such a beautiful lake even with the haziness due to the fire. the view from the ferry is breathtaking. I could imagine what a pleasant and lovely ride it was from Chelan to Stehekin. those are majestic Mountains, and some remaining snow on top. the view at 6:01 is just gorgeous. wow, it burned right to the lake. that is scary where the fire is getting close to the houses. it's nice to see Sports activities on the lake. truly enjoyed this ferry ride. thank you from your new fans - Lino and Line

lol....did you have your bear spray with you up there ? 😄 You got some nice pics of the marmots ! I only saw one when we were in Yellowstone last summer. That scenery is so surreal to those of us who grew up in the East. Even when you're standing in the midst of it, your brain has a hard time grasping the distances and space ! The closest thing we have over here to that kind of environment is Mt Washington. Love the wildflowers and that waterfall is beautiful ! What a fun goal....getting to all the national parks ! Lol about getting that ride on the flatbed. I'm betting you got to enjoy a lot more of the scenery on your way down....not having to drive and being way up there ! LOL !
