Will also try to do some recording on the Harley .Most videos will be 20 mins. or under for me and all my a.d.d. buddys. Very new at this and don't have much equipment. Lets see what happens!! @@grumpydude6802 I told them that was a pretty weird design to not have any place to sit ,especially in their location ,where there's so many seniors relatively close 🤷♂️....they're in a residential area. They should make the one down by wholesale club no sit in, that's where all the homeless people are where they always have problems. Doesn't seem to be any homeless people down by this one on the south end of town

Was that tour made recently? I ask cuze my family and I we are hitting penticton next week, and we are wondering about wildfires going on in B.C. if has it struck penticton or the air quality? I meant smoke from wildfires
there has been some smoke, but there hasn't been any ash landing on cars etc. there hasn't been any smell of smoke in the air either. I think the fire is 26 km to the east of us, so we are not experiencing anything bad so far. Hope this helps!

just now checked the enviroment canada weather page for penticton. 37C. sunday 40C. so hot your beach is pretty much empty. Penticton beaches need those Mexican thatch umbrellas . anyways, try not to bake your brains!
40 degrees C by the pool right now.(6pm) was at beach till 1 this afternoon. Was pretty crowded, actually, but everyone was either in the water or in the shade

strange to see vehicles parked on the downtown streets...but not seeing any people walking up and down the sidewalks. I guess must be a few restaurants open till 9pm or so to warrant the parked vehicles. Warm summer tuesday night, figure i'd see people out and about , bar hopping, restaurant patios, some stores open to go browse in. But i guess if 98% of the downtown closes up at 5-5:30 pm, people stay home and light their dog's farts or sumptin.

did you pass on the tuesday Whitespot triple 0's $8 burger? geez, last time i recall, the tuesday special was $3.99. And i kinda felt a bit ripped off. The Legendary burger combo with fries (no drink) is $18.00/the double double combo is 22.50 (my fave). the clubhouse sandwich/fries is $21! You'd think at these prices nobody eats at white spot anymore....pfffft, go at lunchtime or weekends or whenever, need a crowbar sometimes to get in thru the door and the lineup of people waiting for their table to be called.

It's been over 11 years since i was last in Penticton. It's nice to see it is still a people friendly/family friendly type of environment and not bombarded with food trucks/ pedal carts and hucksters selling their crap. Or do they set up shop later in the afternoon? ice cream/hot dog/water-pop carts....read your palm for only $19.99? I guess it's still free parking at the Penticton parks and beaches, eh? City of Vancouver just implemented $1.00/hr pay pay parking at the huge parking lots for Spanish Banks beaches on July 1st . ( $1 now. Nose bleed rates will come later). Other beach parking lots ask $3.75- 4.25 hour during peak months of the year, slightly reduced off season pissy cooler weather Fall/Winter. Enjoy that Penticton beach walk !

i'll be riding that road next week , supposed to be mid 30s so it'll be hot as hell riding. Coming from Calgary and goin west on the #3 is best. Don't have a plan , just go and see where we end up. i'd leave sooner but i'm flying to Vancouver Friday to see The Rolling Stones. :) 2017 Ultra Limited

i think my father worked in Rock Creek in late 1950s. Probably a mill, i'm guessing. I guess not much to see now, but i was reading during the Goldrush years of 1859 and so on, there were later '' 23 permanent buildings abandoned'' after the gold bust. There was a nearby community of Riverside, those buildings long gone. So i was thinking, what the heck is in Rock Creek now?? '' Businesses comprise a café, two gas stations, a hotel, a motel, two souvenir shops and a campground. The hotel vies with the Leland Hotel in Nakusp for the title of the oldest operating hostelry in BC. The small settlement remains important as a regional service centre for the farming and mining communities''........ugh. Trying to imagine how in the late 1950s there was probably even less. Fun times!

oh one more thing.....IF you are currently age 55 or so, are you ever asking any of these store/restaurants/etc for any type of senior's discount? Be surprised at how some places give discounts starting at age 55. Some of these ''kids'' (cashiers/service workers) have no idea how old a person is and will not even question or ask for proof if you tell them you are 60-65. They just think you are at least 30 and kinda old like their parents or grandparents, sure why not?! I asked for a senior's discount when i was age 41 in the Army & Navy store in New west. The 19 year old cashier twat said '' Oh for sure! 15% off for you!''. ~~ Milk it while you can ~~

Some places don't even advertise, but if you ask in person they might just give 10-15% or so just to be nice. Few years back when my father was still alive, got him a $75 on his Toyota Matrix brake job repair. He was at home, I just asked on his behalf. 😁
your gas prices are in the vicinity of Vancouver's prices. ($1.75-1.80 L). I bet the dude driving the Challenger used up a 1/4 tank in six blocks and said to himself '' Screw this, i'm going home.'' I joke, it must be nice to have that Challenger. My cousin in Summerland i think still has his. Took me for a couple of rides in it, loved it. Yellow paint/white vinyl top. Forget the engine, maybe ''only'' a 318 . I think he was happy to have bought a low mile/good condition Challenger and it was okay to not have the biggest baddest beast under the hood.
