Thank you for these wonderful videos showing how to use the hairpin holders to make great displays. I see they can be used for fresh as well as dried flower arrangements but could they be used for securing an artificial bamboo plant in a hanging pot - I have 4 branches of about 1cm thick each, would the hairpin work in place of the dry foam?

Do you remove the leaves from the flowers, then into water?
Sorry for the late reply! Yes, we remove all of the leaves that fall below the water line. You want to be sure to remove any leaves that will be in the in the water so they don't mold and breed bacteria. I hope this helps!

I'm outside of Richmond zone 7a growing some perennial mums for the first time (just my own personal garden). Do you find that the deer like to eat them? I've got mine in very large pots but I'd like to plant them out in my garden.
Hi Julie! Yes, deer will munch on mums... you can protect your plants by covering or fencing them in or using deterrents.
