DIY Kids Loft Bed that'll SAVE YOU SPACE! // Woodworking project
My daughter came to us one day and said she wanted a new bed...
Makes sense since her bed was originally her brothers, so it was time to shift things around again and pass her current bed to her little sister haha!
So we went ahead and started thinking, eventually we came to the conclusion that since she wanted a bigger bed, and has a relatively small room, best idea would be to go with a loft bed, then we could simply tuck her table under the bed which really makes her room feel a lot bigger.
This project took several months to complete, probably could have finished it much quicker, but it is what it is :)
We absolutely love the end result, both the simplicity and the fact that it actually does what it was meant to do, which is to save that floor space!
Let me know what you guys think in the comments, or if you have any questions, and I'd love it if you would subscribe to my CZcams channel, so you won't miss any of my future projects ;)

DIY Modern Metal Planter from Trash
zhlédnutí 350Před 3 lety
Hey Guys, today we're taking some trash and try to make something nice out of it :) This story again involves my wife (how else...), as part of her pastry business she inflates helium balloon for her customers. I always wanted to try something with those empty gas cylinders, and also needed a planter, so I thought what the heck let's try! Got a chance to practice my welding skills, obviously st...
DIY Deep Lumber Rack // Great for storing cardboards to
zhlédnutí 103Před 3 lety
My wife needed a better place to store her cake cardboards and macaroon boxes, they were stored in the garage which was mostly unreachable and hard to keep clean. So we decided building this deep shelf out of two racks that would nicely fit the depth of her biggest cardboard (75 cm / 30" deep). Each rack is made of 3 layers of Birch plywood, the layers are glued together and trimmed flush with ...

Check out part 1 here: czcams.com/video/-x5KGmj_86Y/video.html This is the second part of the TACKLIFE JS02A Barrel Grip Jigsaw Review If you remember in the first part I had some issues cutting a straight line with the provided blades, so I switched the blades to blades that are rated to cut straight clean cuts (Bosch T101B) and it works great now! Now that I switched the blades I am very happ...

How much would you sell this piece for?
How close is your daughter to the ceiling fan? I got nervous at the very end!
HA! Does it still work? Mine died and tacklife seems to be kaput!
Last I checked it's still running! Have you used it extensively? I use it every few months
@@diywithguy I used it for about 15 minutes after I bought it. I set on a shelf in a covered area for a couple years and NOTHING!
This looks awesome!
I know right? :) thank you!
Nice I’m making a bowling machine like this
Cool!
The solution will be posted later today on my shorts!
First to guess will get pinned!
You make this look so easy!
Awesome guide! Thanks for putting this video together my man!
Glad you liked it!
is this a single bed size? thinking of doing it but cant tell if its single or queen
This bed fits a 190x120cm mattress, not sure it falls under the definition of either... here's a link to the cutlist and 3d model www.instructables.com/DIY-Kids-Loft-Bed-Thatll-SAVE-YOU-SPACE/
More like a Super Single I guess
Have you heard of the Tacklife TJSO1A jigsaw?? There are no reviews on it anywhere. There’s not even any information on it anywhere.
I haven't heard of it but there are some reviews outside youtube you can find like this one: www.justoffbase.co.uk/saws/tacklife-tjs01a-review/

What is the height of this room?
Hey Masud, the height of the room is 3 meters
Nice beautiful nice
Hermoso trabajo saludos desde Chile 🙏😊
Thanks :)
Why u are not using open cut list...?
Good question... My projects have been relatively simple so far, and with this method I have full control on creating the cut list. It's also quite easy to understand, if you got to this point where you have a model, you can easily follow the steps to create a cut list. Another reason which is I don't like installing extensions unless I absolutely have to. But you might have other considerations :) Have you tried open cut list? What are your thoughts on it?
@@diywithguy yes i agree with u on that its kinda easy way and helpful for individual projects im using open cut list its help ful for me when im working on multiple itemes more then 10 sheets at a time it helps me to have less wastage ..1 thing im concerned about open cut list extension sometimes some of the parts can fit into same sheet but showing in extra sheet if i have 200x 60 quantity 2 these part can fit into 1sheet but in open cut list it will show u 2 sheet requirements.....
Well hopefully you'll find this method helpful for those situations :)
Great job! How much would you say this cost you for supplies and materials?
Thanks :) The materials were around 60$, which is mostly the wood... (the entire was 95$ but I didn't use all of it) Checkout the cutlist video here - czcams.com/video/rcDMx-CGd68/video.html
omg amazing! Your daughter must be so happy!
Thank you! Yes she is!!!
Love it !!!! Where do you buy your toys ?
Thank you! I bought them at local stores... The toy names I remember are Montessori Rainbow and Sorting Cube, Amazon's full of them :)
Ty!!!!
Awesome. Have you considered mounting the bed to the wall?
Thanks Aviv! I thought about it, but still need to figure out a way to do it without squeezing the curtains or damaging the wallpaper 😅
@@diywithguy you can use a small piece of wood as a buffer and drill into the wall
That's a great idea, a wooden piece attached to the wall, and to attach the bed to that piece I might go with hidden hold-down clamps to keep the option of quickly and easily unmounting the bed if needed
🏆🏆🏆
Thanks מירי!
Loved the rabbit joining you in the middle😄
He's a helpful little fella ;)
WOW 👍
Thanks Yoni, glad you liked it!
I thought it may be the blades . Great review. Now i will buy it.
Enjoy it, thanks!
This is great Guy!
Thank you Kellie!
How tall is the rod from the floor and what age would you recommend this for
It's roughly 93cm from the floor (36 inches), regarding the age I would say once your child wants to choose his/her own cloths. My daughter was 18 months old when I built it. But even before that you can use it as a closet or a place to store toys etc.

Can you do a diy Montessori hand washing station?
Excellent idea, I actually have a sink lying around the garage which might fit for this type of project!
יפה מאד
תודה רבה שי, לומד ממך המון
ממש יפה.
Where i can order one ? :) Very good and helpful video 👍🏻
Mass production will begin in 2080 when I retire 😄
Cool I like it!
Your wife had a great idea!
More to come ;)
👌🏾
Good job for your first time out. I especially appreciated the follow up solution on the cutting issue with the blades. I took your advise and invested in a good set of blades. 👍
Era hoy!
Do you have the video for the montessori shelf next to the closet?
unfortunately no, that was before I started filming for youtube, the process is similar though I just used hidden dowels instead...
Beautiful room Thanks for sharing 😊
Thank you!
Nice work man! Would love to see more
More to come!
Great work . I just subscribed . yes please I would love a video on how you do the sketch up
Thanks! Sure, stay tuned ;)
Hey keshamarle, Here's the link to the sketchup video czcams.com/video/rcDMx-CGd68/video.html Hope you find it helpful!
AWESOME! Thank you for updating this. I'm interested in this little saw and almost moved on from it because of its "walking" to the left as you showed I'm your initial review. GOOD LOOKIN OUT!
Yeah I was so frustrated about it! Hope you enjoy your new jigsaw ;)
Nice job, but for testing, you should jump like Mathias Wandel.
Thanks! I thought about it, but then you'd have to watch me build a new one from scratch
Great work Guy. Video equally as professional as your woodwork skills :-)
Thanks woody072n, I'm glad you liked it :)
Great video, thanks! And your daughter is so cute!! ♥️
Thank you!! 😊
Buy some real tools not fisher price the fuuuuuuuk
Yeah check out part 2 though with a decent blade it did a good job
A real tool is one that pays for itself and saves you money. Until it does that it is a toy. I have a Bosch jigsaw that cost quite a lot of money when I bought it 20 years ago, but back then that's what I had to spend to get a tool that performed well with blade oscillation etc. Now for a fraction of the price I paid back then It is possible to by something like the saw in this video that probably performs just as well. Will it last as long ? Who knows but the chances are that it will have paid for itself before it gets stolen off the job site, falls off a roof or just fails outside the warranty. Then, who knows, it's replacment may well offer BETTER performance (thinking brushless) of have other features. I have a Marita reciprocating saw, had it a long time, it is built to last but it's an underpowered boat anchor compared to some late module cheapies.
