Hi, my name is Naveen. and I am the instructor of all video lectures. I am from India.
I have a degree in mechanical engineering. i have also done master's degree with a specialization in machine design and simulation.
initially, I had worked as a CAD design engineer and currently I am working as CAE/ FEA team lead in one of the largest automotive companies in the world. my job involves part design, complete simulation, testing verification, and optimization.
I had worked on various software like hypermesh, abaqus, optistruct, NASTRAN, NX , creo. its been more than 8 years since I am working in this field.
in part-time, I use to teach and create lectures about software, simulation. i have also created complete courses on these software at very affordable price

Hi, for bolt creation you have selected the orientation perpendicular to X axis. in this case beam is exactly in X-axis..what if bolt is not alligned to any of the axis, what orientation to select?

do you know the rule of thumb... your Modal base should be twice the range of analysis. so if you have modes till 500Hz, you can do an FRF till 250?
Hi I am sorry for out of topic Did you know why the Hypermesh is so heavy application I have Hypermesh 2023 suite in my PC (Ryzen 5600X, 16Gb RAM, RTX 3060 12Gb). My computer lagging so much even if only I import geometry The geometry is a simple small 1Part (motorcycle shock absorber head) Actually there is nothing suspicious in the Windows Task manager (CPU 10~20%, RAM 50%) I don't know why this can possibly happen Is there anything that I can do to make the application lighter?
With every update, software becomes heavier. So you can use older version like hm 2019 and later. There is very little change in interface.

As you said contact is defines only for the mesh, it should work for surface bodies also right?
in FEA, all work is done on mesh not surface.

there is no direct way for this. after doing mesh, go to any planar face and check element lengths. it will give you idea of previous element size.
I have 2019 version of hypermesh. In my preferences, there is no topology revision options. that why I can not do disaccociation. How can I find it
Press 'o' key, in the mesh option, go to topology revision, select 'keep mesh'

this is basic example on how to do mesh. so no quality criteria is followed. you can find examples with quality criteria in hypermesh playlist

you have to apply the connection . the software does not recognize any connection by itself

you can also do reflect all at once.

how can we do meshing if small plate is situated above its composite wall and meshing , because when I done that I am not getting the structured mesh that's why
you can do mesh individually and apply tie contact between them.
sir my project is a steel pedal base plate bolted to a steel plate for fixation. How should I defined the contact? should be stick?
if there is relative motion between them, then go for friction contact. otherwise select tie/glue contact
Why we make geometry mappable
by making geometry mappable, it is easier for us to understand how to proceed with hex in that region.
