Is this a Location Test ver played on mame or a Stepmania build?
It looks like they used the location test like hack to get the song playable, the data for it is still on the rom/disc, like Money (before Make it Better) in DDR 1.0.
@@nathanrichards7930 the CD at the result screen is Xanadu's tho. maybe that's why it feels horribly off sync?
You have to input Left Right Left Left Right Right Left Right on the dance platform to enable Vivid arrows, which this code will only work on 3rdMIX's SSR mode.
This is not a Konami original. If the BGAs have been reused from another track, then I assume it's taken from some Konami original. I remember when "Mucho Mambo ~Sway~" caused the announcer to say the "Konami sound" line and re-use the animations from "MAKE IT BETTER", despite "Mucho Mambo ~Sway~" not being a Konami original.
I haven't heard this fact before. Where did you get this from?
If you talk about the BGAs, all the music shares the BGAs even if they are not original from Konami since they must have the rhythm of the music.
@@tellyn100 I just realized. Beats Like This replaced So Good for this video, and that announcer also said that that was a "Konami sound". That probably meant that So Good's BGA's were also based off a prior Konami Original, but no prior song had those animations before So Good used those.
I was shocked about style of selection of difficulty here. It is different from DDR. It would have been better if color of speakers matches color of difficulty names. If play style is VERSUS, I am curious and wondering how the selection of difficulty of two players looks like. Are the selection of difficulty of two players cooperative or non-cooperative? It would have been better if EVENT MODE is used, so that there is no time limit and sample playback of song will be completely heard before it is selected for game play. Its CD artwork in music select and stage result are not the same.
For versus play, they can only play on the same difficulty. This is also the case for DDR 1st, 2nd and USA Arcade.

It's a shame that it couldn't be done, since they are the music cut from the game that couldn't be released. but the data was still saved in the game.

This music was discarded from the game that was going to be released in the arcade but it was not possible. Even so, the data and files were saved in the system and it could be removed.

I remember that the beta version of DDRMAX didn't have removed songs. Makes me wonder what the 5th mix exclusives' banners look like.
Another wonderful song that should have never been cut. Must have been a licensing issue.

Maybe this song uses the riff/sampler or key parts from I want your love by Chic but this dancemania song is really cool also, i saw someone metion that this song was aren't done in time, of course this will be one of my favourites DDR Songs if was released too.
The timing seems to indicate that. Total Recall first debuted in beatmania 5th MIX in September 1999 and survived through Complete MIX 2 in January 2000, and beatmania Append 5th MIX CS and beatmania III 1st in March 2000, finally getting deleted in beatmania III APPEND CORE REMIX in December 2000. The game’s staff comments from director Yuichiro Sagawa are: 「ごめんなさいといえば、諸般の事情でbmIII 1stに入っていた幾つかの曲が収録出来ませんでした。好きだった人、ごめんなさい。」 “Speaking of apologies, due to various circumstances we were unable to include some of the songs that were on bmIII 1st. Sorry to those who liked them.” The only songs removed in beatmania III APPEND CORE REMIX were the licenses from beatmania 5th MIX which included Total Recall. DDR 3rdMIX Plus was released in June 2000. Guess they lost the licenses between March 2000 and June 2000
A bit rough for an 8-footer
I'd love to see the data for the cut song Eyes On Me from DDR 4th mix. But after all these freakin years I"ve never seen it. Tcrf is missing a LOT of info on the hidden data in these DDR game disks. Both home versions and arcade. Like the DDR Max USA demo from that official playstation magazine I found sound data for "Ain't It Good" from beatmania many many years ago. It's the disk with I think the sly cooper logo on the label. I still have the disk here somewhere. Also on the official ddr site back in the day DDR MAX arcade was going to have the beatmania songs. There was a official screenshot with it. And I think they found Dance Mania X data on the arcade disk too years ago. The interface did change a bit too and the fonts as well. And stuff like So Deep being a 10 on DDR Max 2 test location. I know the Stay banner was different then too. Plus a thank you for playing graphic with Emi only used for the test location. Sorry I could go on and on about the past I have with this game. XD

I remember that there was a fight between Konami and Andamiro, it got solved but it was never known what did happened Maybe Pump It Up and DDR agreed with conditions of which songs to use (Pump It Up used K-POP songs and that video is that only time there was K-POP in DDR) Just a theory
