Today's menu is Saffron Milk Cake, the middle eastern version of the famous mexican Tres Leches cake ( three milk cake ).
It's a delicious recipe with a light moist sponge soaked in a rich saffron milk and topped with sweetened cream where you can get the royal saffron flavor in every bite!
Simply, it's a perfect cake for milk fans!
- The ingredients :
1/2 ts Saffron
1 tbs Hot water
113g Butter
200g Sugar
5 Eggs
1 ts Vanilla
1 1/2 ts Baking powder
180g All purpose flour
300ml milk
160ml Evaporated milk
280g Sweetened condensed milk
500ml Heavy cream
100g Powdered sugar
* Preheat the oven and start baking when it reaches a set temperature.
