I see Traxxas has come out with the Gravix in a belted version. I was toying with getting a set for my Xmaxx for just high speed driving and ripping around to see if they help with cornering. Kind of a basher/truggy cross. You are the only one I can find that has used a Gravix on the Xmaxx (unless you were referring to an XRT when you spoke of them) Do you have any insights?

Well, for 1,000 dollars it should be nice. But what's the point of 8s if you're going to use suck a low KV motor? Kind of defeats the purpose, doesn't it? And at that price, you're kinda all in, aren't you?

Subbed my friend! Great build. I built a ground up kraton xl similar to this with an HPI body. Hand built all the way down to the diffs. Vitavon gears in hot racing diff cups. It was a labor of love but damn it flys. Looking forward to more videos from you!

Solid advice and tire comparison mate. I usually use locktite 401 and it holds like mad. Sets a bit too quickly but hey. One thing I did when I ripped an X-Maxx tire quite badly (2") is, I repaired it and put it on the rear. Less chance of diffing out and of course I NEVER use self righting. Holding for over a year now. *EDIT* I also balance my tires too... bit tedious on the bigger stuff like the XRT and X-Maxx but a necessity on the speed cars like the Felony etc. Drives so much smoother.

Gorgeous truck man…. Just got the 8s outcast for a great deal I mean next to nothing for it. But mannnn your truck is niceee❤. But I can’t believe it’s your first Arrma. They drive awesome way better then Traxxas I believe. I have both Traxxas and arrma I prefer arrma all day.

Great video! This is why I’m keeping my xmaxx on stock power. I want to put some more power but the upgrades required is insane. I really need need those proline tires. My six pack duratrax are falling apart. I 3d printed some wheel inserts just out of pla to help straighten the rims, but they snap on hard hits and don’t hold up. I am learning so much from you. Love your vids!!

How long did those 7000 zeee packs last you? Also i think arrma should just make their gorgon monster truck into a 1/5 scale and i think if they did it right the xmaxx would become obselete. Outcast or kraton are my next truck, but i want an arrma monster truck too.

Epic video😝 These new 8s Arrma trucks are amazing. I did grenade my stock chassis finally today, but at 80 bucks on Jenny’s I’m gonna chance it again vs an M2C for this time. Stock electrics are impressive too! I did switch to a Max5 only because I’m gonna go ahead and toss a bigger motor in. I’d say the stock system is perfect on the slightly short Outcast though 🤙🏻🚀

Agreed brother..... So much more value out the box compared to an Xmaxx, sure if the Xmaxx has some basic weakness fixed and more hp in can hang, but the Arrma 8s Rigs are just WAYYYY too good right now for the money. Now if your skilled that is definitely the case. Landing bad more often The plastics on the Xmaxx are better so for bad landings xmaxx can take more there for sure. And like you noticed, the handling is night and day, Outcast just way more stable and controlled.... And when you really get after it it goas way bigger for sure! I love both ... Both mine are M2Cified FTW as for what we do it's necessary... But these EXB RTR's are fantastic! For me it's Smiles vs Adrenaline 😊👍👍.... Both great for different reasons. Now you just need a King Kraton 8s EXB... Talk about a land animal and a huge soaring eagle.... Nothing like it! Great video brother, Sickkkk sends, slapping down triples first day out was killer..... You can see how you honestly learned control with a more difficult rig to tame, the Xmaxx, so coming over to the Outcast was Easy for you👍 Great stuff brother....
