Skating on Synthetic/Plastic Ice in the Bahamas
Skating on plastic synthetic ice was definitely an interesting experience... Basically, you have to forget how you normally skate and relearn by making some adjustments.
Filmed at the Baha Mar resort in Nassau, Bahamas.

zhlédnutí 155KPřed 5 lety
Artur Dmitriev from Russia is the first skater to ever attempt the Quadruple Axel (4A) at the official competitions. He made an attempt at the 2018 Rostelecom Cup Grand Prix event in Moscow. The jump was under-rotated but it looks like Artur is capable of landing a clean jump if everything goes right. According to Artur, it is his goal to be the first skater to land the 4A at the competition.

Shoma Uno Best Figure Skating Combination Ever: 3A-4T
zhlédnutí 21KPřed 6 lety
Shoma Uno landed a combination Triple Axel (3A) - Quad Toeloop (4T) at the practice during the 2017 World Championships. It wasn't done at the competitions but still, it is the hardest combination of two jumps that was ever executed in figure skating history. The base value of the combination is 18.8 points (8.5 10.3).
Jason Brown Quad Toe Loop (4T) - first one at competitions!
zhlédnutí 6KPřed 7 lety
Jason Brown proved me wrong and for the first time landed clean 4T at competitions - in the Free Skate at 2016 Skate America Grand Prix. I did not think he will ever land one, but I'm glad I was wrong.
Alexei Yagudin's Worst Career Skate

2001 Goodwill Games in Brisbane, Australia became a nightmare for Alexei Yagudin. Just a few months before the 2002 Olympics Yagudin had the worst skate in his career... He placed only 3rd at the event behind Plushenko and Michael Weiss.

Лёша лучше всех! Гениальный спортсмен!❤❤❤
The first successful A4 was landed by smoother Russian. Russian athletes are the best because their character is forged in discipline and sacrifice. Both abund in Mother Russia. The best that the west can do, is cry if_"child abuse"_ !
Lambiel's rotation axis gets totally off before landing. Watching this in 2023 ofc, Patrick and Yuzu are the bests. Even Plushenko's body posture looks weird when you look at Hanyu rotating straight like he's pulled upwards with a string. I do not see anybody else among the current skaters who can get even close to that quality. He was born to skate. Perfect aesthetics, combined with perfect technique.
If Yagudin had had better air position and more training on the fishing pole he could have well rotated a 4a, landing would have been a deiiferent thing though, his landing werent the best.
yuzu makes the quad look way to easy
Todd Eldridge!!
Now we need Ilias Quad Axel to end the video
Shoma uno: Manages to put a quad toeloop on the end of a triple axel. Also Shoma Uno: Has been trying 4t-3t for year and still can only do 4t-2t...
My favorite triple axel of all time is the one Tonya Harding performed at the 1991 Skate America, her Free Skate. Pure power, timing, speed and height - gotta love it!
Первый фигурист сделавший четверной флип. Через три года его сделала Наша Саша. На финале гран при. Когда Аленка Глазастик выиграла.
Ilya Kulik's 3A was the best of all time - the calmness and total balance at take off and landing, the simultaneously explosive yet somehow light as a feather jump height. Honestly Midori Ito easily has the 2nd best 3A of all time - hers is better than almost all the men. The speed height and flow in and out is even better than Kulik's - she should have been on this list
Plushenko, Yagudin & Kulik, &. Don't like girly looking man that is of fashion in recent years. Hope this trend passes soon.
Exactly. I miss masculine skaters, nowadays no difference between men and women competitions - everybody does same choreography
Thanks for posting!! They are all fabulous skaters….
Tonight, we had a 4A landed cleanly at Skate America.
SIKE! ILIA MALININ ALREADY LANDED HIS 4A !!! YALL ARE BEHIND THIS NEWS WEEEEEEEEEE
I'm here after ilia malinin just landed it in practice
Ilia kulik and midori ito have the best triple axels
Sorry, but the first one was at Rostelecom Cup-2017! With the same result and quality...
Artur in 2022: "hold my beer" 🤣He still has an insane axel height.
update: hanyu has done it🎉.
update after US championship. Artur: "hold my beer"
Almost there WOW
Actually there was a guy at the US championship back around Boitanos return. Dan something? He attempted but didn't make it. I think Ilia Kulic had the best skill to do it if he'd tried. I mean if he did an over rotated 3a on the floor in shoes then why not?
Prerotation.....but well done!(^_-)-☆
Edit: Yuzu just attempted to land the first ever Quad Axel Today (it was Q but he is yet to land a clean one in Beijing 2022) 🥰🤟 Did not land a clean one in beijing but its was certified by the ISU for the first time in history!!!!
He didn't land Quad Axel. Stop spreading lies
@@Eagle90able The first attempt in Jnats practice was Under-rotated and his attempt at the FS had him landing on both feet so I guess he didnt land it CLEANLY yet so let me rephrase that. He almost landed a quad axel and he is yet to land the first ever clean one.
@@hanyusuki9755 He landed a bunch of overotated triple axels. Let's hope he'll do the quad axel at Olympics
@@Eagle90able Yeah i guess you can say that since In the one he attempted and landed with one foot in practice was Q but he’s getting there for sure :)) I’m living for the day where “And A quad axel out of no where!” Phrase finally gets used
@@hanyusuki9755 It was <<, not q. (the one he landed in practice and in J nats)
My favorite I's the women you didn't list
Russians , THATS IT 🔥👌🏻 💪🏻
Terrible posture and edges. Why are the basics being sacrificed in this era of skating?
Figures started not being a required thing. Figures are basically special shapes completed on one foot. They were replaced with moves in the field and also most skaters dread working on edges nowadays.
The Russians don't play. 15 years old doing triple axel followed by triple toe and make it looks effortless
They forgot to mention and show Han Yan from China’s triple axels. His triple axels fly far and high. I think he’s got one of the best men’s triple axels.
Here after 11 attempts of Quad Axels by Yuzu at WTT2021, he's this 🤏🏼 close, but really the RPM is so fast it drills holes on ice when blades strikes it surface, and the sound impact of it makes a loud bang.
I'm impressed
under-rotated or not under-rotated but he's the first ever skater who declared 4A in his program
i think yuzuru will make it
He did
@@lexidle3354 yessss🤩
Adam Siao Him Fa has potential to do quad Axel
Since this comp. was all guys shouldn’t the title be best male figure skaters who’ve master the triple jump?
No Elvis?
Why lie? on the show he has a 3-axel !!!
it's not 4A, for 4A you have to make five perfect rounds it's just called 4A, and try to see when yuzuru did it he managed to make five perfect rounds but still having trouble when he landing.👍
...What????
just say you know nothing about figure skating then go
why are they speaking finnish lmao
Hanyu's jumps are so satisfying to watch!
Yannick Ponsero had unique quad toeloop. Incredible elevation, air position, high and super fast rotation.
Ok but did he land it in practice? Cause if so I’d like to see that. If not why’d they keep it in his program 🤣
No one's landed one before when this was taken. Yuzu has gotten really close but still needs to touch up his landing. So no, I don't understand why they kept it in :(
😶
I feel for those who have to perform.
Where’s Nathan Chen?
He wasn't that consistent or that good when this video was made.
Stupid if you don’t include Yan Han! His 3A is the best ever and foe ever!
