Stay strong Dr Sahiba. Such awareness programs are need of the day particularly in KP. People here have misconceptions about Cancer such as 1. TNBC can neither be treated nor cured. 2. Cancer is not a disease but a Jin that disturbs and drags the patient to death. 3. Chemotherapy compromises active life so avoid chemotherapy and go for holistic treatment. Cancer patients, due to fatigue, anxiety and some side effects of treatment, is under the clouds which is natural. In such situation, the literate lot try to find healing tricks from open source, facebook, CZcams etc. At that moment the patient is caught by another disease called IDIOT (Internet Derived Illness Obstructive Treatment) Syndrome. Chemo/ immuno reluctant patient finds such facebook groups and youtube channels which discourage the patient against chemotherapy treatment and encourage to switch to holistic treatment. At such situation, patient takes suicidal decision and let the disease spread in her body. It is general perception that TNBC is not curable. Dr Zobia and Cancer Awareness Team must continue such awareness sessions to aquaint the population regarding difference between treatable and curable, if TNBC is not curable it doesn't mean it can't be treated. Population must be acquainted that cancer is monsterous disease caused by metabolic changes but it is not type of Jin or Kala Jadu.
