VTY OH BOY IS IT. We used this fight song in my high school and boy was it difficult in the euph section. Sure maybe I learned if but only 2 out of 5 of the euphs know it, it’s a losing battle in a game.
Supreme Slavic Lol, sure dude. What tempo did you play it at? What octave? Were you marching or sitting down? And it probably didn’t sound half as good as these guys unless you’re a prodigy. Normal 7th graders attempting this would be comical. I marched in college and this would’ve been harder than anything we ever played on the field. Hitting 16th note runs up to a high A flat at 180 BPM while sitting down, isn’t that tough. On the move, staying in time and in line using their specific marching technique and having to play with good tone all at the same time would suck.
DekkoDekko'D It’s not surprising that Texas could pull this off, though. It’s one of the best music schools in the country and tons of their members march for World Class Drum Corps. It’s a Blue Devils pipeline, for sure. The amount of good high school bands in Texas is crazy, too, so I’m sure a lot of the members were well prepared.
Played with the Texas band at the 2019 Sugarbowl when I was still in high-school. Absolute blast, and I've been a Texas fan since 🤘🐂🧡
