Just checking prices and the Vent-Axia website is wanting £860 for the cheapest model. I found the same model elsewhere for £260, so avoid buying directly from Vent-Axia
Is there anyway to supply the unit with an external air source rather than the filters from the loft air. My loft is boarded out as room.
Great video thanks. Question for you. We've just moved into an oldish cottage that has quite bad mould and condensation problems, so we're looking at options. Would this be suitable for a brick cottage and what sort of running costs are you looking at?
this thing is a fad. get a dehumidifier or mvhr if you can afford it.

Is there any chance someone can put nasty air attached to the outside tube into my vent axis leading the air to reach inside my apartment through the grills around the house? I can smell nasty chemicals from this vents and it’s a new apartment and new vent axis on my cabinet room. Any clue?

I dont like it when companies advertise their products with a motor to be “silent” it’s impossible for something with a motor that runs on electricity to be completely silent

The app has none of these features, so is now impossible to set up my fan. I'm now stuck with a steam filled bathroom 👍🏻
That's exactly what we found out... the app is lacking all these features and the fan only works when you have the app on your display, the moment you go to another screen/app the fan switches off! It is quite a pricy extractor fan for a non working one!!!
Just installed mine and found exactly the same. None of these features are there. The only option is to move the speed from 88% to 100%. The fan is running continuously as intended though but none of the features I bought it for are there
The man can't say it from knowledge! He has to read his companies instructions without a personality. Video is as good as a bull in a milking parlour. For those who don't know! Brown is live, blue is neutral and yellow and green is earth. For basic wiring remove earth from switch and don't place earth into the svara. Historically! They mean advanced... which is nipping the live wire 10 to 15cm from svara, placing a joint connector and have live in and two live wires out place one in "L" and the other into "T" this is known as the breaker. Used for switch on the svara. Otherwise the 3rd is not needed. I'm here looking for an Internet connectional video for knowledge :/ but this came up with hunreds of others for app which is Bluetooth connection 😅
Yes it is quite compared to all those other things but they don’t run 24/7 like the fan does and at night that’s all I can hear is the droning sound of the fan, I just changed the settings on it so it will only come on when I pull the cord

It doesnt matter, just the only thing that matters is you remember which side of the unit and which orientation you put them in so when you take them out for inspection/cleaning you dont reverse them when putting them back in.

What wire goes into the t slot
The cable terminals were not tightened securely in this video but left loose - fire risk! Also no advice on isolating supply - shock risk! A company like Vent-Axia really should take more care with its promotional videos.

I had to cut out half the cavity tube to get the spigot to fit the hole.Why make insignificant changes that are highly unnecessary. Such as increasing the spigot diameter two mm? Why?
This fan is far from silent. It’s fitted in the kitchen ceiling under the bedroom it’s not possible to sleep with the constant buzz . It also will not run with any strength ie to extract without the kitchen lights being on , Not Ideal in Summer time

Pity they have cheapened this product in recent years. Not worth the premium. Removed plastic back draft baffle (it’s now thin plastic film) and removed conical baffle at back of face plate. It’s basically the cheapest version they could get away with but still charging a premium. Just replaced a 3 year old unit ‘like for like’. Guarantee is 2 years.
I thought the back draft baffle was a piece of protective film that should be removed. Some cheek calling it premium

Typically in apartment blocks a shared intake will come in from the top of the building feeding all the Vent axia units in the building, the vents you see on the side of building are the exhaust outlets, as you have two, one is probably a dedicated one for the Oven Hood as that will typically be a direct exhaust to the outside. The bedroom one is probably the exhaust outlet from the Vent Axia.
So that means it can poison us by bringing lindona contaminated air in? I’m having the same problem with smell of chemical inside my aiartmrnt giving me anxiety and tremors at night so I need to know what’s going on as we never had this symptoms before. Maybe someone could attach a tube from the outside air pushing in nasty fumes to apartments?

There is no timer on that fan.

@@barryohara8420 just had one fitted and were told that it always runs and it's supposed to be the quietest fan going. For something supposed to be silent it's making plenty noise, hence I'm looking up extractor fans on CZcams in the early hours of the morning!!

They have two settings. The factory setting is almost silent but hardly functions as an extractor. After recalling the electrician to investigate, he discovered the fan has two settings and the more powerful setting is as noisy as standard fans. I contacted their customer relations department and was given a pile of waffle. Wouldn't dream of buying another.

Hold the up and down buttons for 5 seconds. Hold for another 1 or 2 seconds so the Reset Filters menu stays open. Press Set. Should work.
