Walked up and down to the North Cape for ten months...on the way back passed Letland. Nice area. Going up along the Norwegian coast i had similar tempratures. But used rhat time tarp and bivybag.
@@kayakcobber524 Happy to hear that! Nice one..! Winter camping is awesome..!
@@ImpulseFromWithin yes, that time was harsh, weather conditions. Month after month, wet and cold. But as always we made it.
❤ These look like very happy boys. What a fun trip. I'm also happy that you let Richard light the camping stove. It instills confidence in young people to be able to learn how to use potentially dangerous things in a safe environment under adult supervision. That tripod stool is cool too. More adults should be willing to go out, either with kids or other adults, and try these types of activities. It's so wholesome😊

@@justgoingout6824 Thanx for watching. Happy to hear that.
bought 1- 2 days ago, got it the next day. have it set at the moment. expecting rain tonight. the one thing i like are the stakes as i only use this style. what's not to like - one of the zippers has acid / moth damage on a seam. needs extra mid-body tie out points. for mine i did the pebble & string trick to pull the back out for more room inside.
@@tjfm59 Hey! Yes it needs upgrades on pullout points and flysheet extension on porch mode!

Ok! - No ants, No reptiles, No snakes. - Flying!
Been watching a few reviews on this product. You are the ONLY ONE that even mentioned that mattress attachment. Good job. Thank you
@@ohiovetoutdoors Nice one! Happy that video is helpful. Thanx for watching..!
If you doubled up the fabric you would have two layers. Sew the three layers on three sides leaving one long side open. Then, with two layers, you can slip a sleeping bag between the layers to make a built-in, no fuss, underquilt. I would strongly recommend using ripstop fabric. If you wanted to get more fancy, you could sew a bug screen to one side, throw it over the ridge line, and sew a zipper for the other side. Or you could leave some extra screen fabric on the open side and use weights to hold the screen down sort of snug to the hammock.
I just watched your summer under liner video where you did make two layers. That would be perfect for a customizable underquilt. Instead of sewing one side closed, you could sew Velcro "snaps" along the way. Open the Velcro, insert the fluffy underquilt material, and close the Velcro to retain the quilt and keep the two layers from flying open in the wind. Instead of a quilt you could use a wool blanket between the layers. The wool might even be fine for use in the summer unless you live in Texas like I do. I slept in a tropical net type of hammock for the summer of 1988. The air conditioning was out, and I did not have the money to fix it, but I did have $8 to buy the hammock. Temps ranged from 100 degrees F (38 C) during the day to 90 F (32 C) at night. I set it up inside my house with a fan blowing on me. When the temps cooled into the 80s at night I had to turn the fan off. When the temps fell into the low 80s, I moved back to a regular bed with a fan and no blankets. So I am aware of the problem of getting cold in a hammock, but not so cold that I needed an underquilt.
Were did u get them FROM????😊
@@JayMac-gh1kx From Onewind web site. Just type in Tarp poles..😉
always re tie or melt onewinds knots . they cant tie for crap lol
@@RootsLion Yes, I like upgrade almost all gear I get from any company. Better and lighter guylines, paracord handles for zippers, almost always I'm changing or even adding 4mm shock cord loops to my tents and tarps and other stuff. And yeah, knots should be redone too. I found it too that sometimes knots are not good on gear from Onewind. But that is ok, not a big deal.
Every time I see an overhand knot I replace it with a figure-8 knot. The figure-8 is slightly bulkier and makes a better stop knot. The fig-8 also can be untied after jamming it hard.
Excellent piece of gear.
Why not just carry a hammock made with thicker material? Then you don't need an underquilt at all. I never need an underquilt with my canvas hammock.
Another great product by Onewind. I would also like to see it with a vertical zipper on the wide end for entry between the hammocks.
Nice tent but I’ve had a bad experience with a single layered wall with mesh bug screen door that had a pyramid shape, I’ll wait to see it they improve the design because of the rain coming inside since I live in the “Sunshine State, Florida” when we get a lot of rain & muggy conditions! Always bring a back up stove lol alky or solid fuel tabs plus they are lighter & I use anodized (& Halulite) aluminum so it’ll work perfectly together! A little fuel goes a long way with help from my TOAKS Ti wind screen (thin roll up sheet)
Those Eno spreader bars have saved me several time! Great video!
I've got the bottom entry wind sock, amazing the difference that tiny bit of lightweight material makes
@@ryanletchford2450 Hey! Yes, it makes a big difference. Don't even need door on your tarp in winter. I love it!
great review. just purchased one.
10'' rule of showing different positions? especialy day/night changes
I think OneWind needs to use you as a consultant. Great modifications!
What a nice place to camp... your videos are very good, thanks
Excellent video thank you
So can you try cooking in that bugnet? It will be very awesome, as I don't want go outside with mosquito.
I wouldn't suggest to play with fire inside that bugnet since it is made from synthetics, it can catch on fire..!! But it is possible to eat some food that are not requiring cooking like.. cookies with tea or something. Also of course it is possible to use a thermos with hot water and make your instant noodles, mashed potato, oat porridge with jam and so on..!! 👍🏼
Don't look for someone to grow old with. Look for someone to stay young with...
Came for the review, stayed for the relentlessly positive personality. Great vid man, thanks. The OneWind stuff works, and is great value.

this is a knockoff of the mozzy 360 from gran trunk. probably not as good but much more affordable!
@@dummkompf Hi! I think this is top notch quality in materials and design its made. I know about fabrics and sewing, I have background in that area. This is made from great materials and done perfectly fine. I don't like zipper placement on mozzy 360, this Onewind Cradle bugnet has perfect zipper placement. It is not in the way of your precious view and it is more practical. I've seen cheap quality bugnets in my life and this one is definetly not the case.
Great video! I'd love to see a step-by-step of your upgrades. Very good stuff.
I wish they would make it in their camo print....id be all over it.
thank you very much for this video. I've seen other videos about this hammock but yours is much more useful
@@CartaBaggiana I'm happy that it helps.
I like your videos mate.
Where did you get the camo net?
@@Hudson4426 Hi! It was from local shop. Try to look for 3mx2m camo net.
Hi, maybe try attaching 3 prusiks on the ridgeline and attach small carabiners to those to clip onto the windsocks 3 attachment points, that way you can tighten them up by sliding the prusiks taught, but I like your modifications better.
Thanks for the great review! Now I can take my Aussiehole with me. 👍🏼
@@chrisladd5392 You are welcome! Enjoy hammock camping..! 😉
Did Onewind at least pay you for using your video in their ads of this product on Amazon?
@@jasonmorrow216 Hey! They are not using my videos in their adds. Those are completely different advertisement videos I made specially for them. My channel has nothing to do with those videos, in my channel I'm testing gear and giving my honest review about them. People are thinking that Onewind sending me stuff and asking say nice things about them, but that's not the case. Half stuff I bought myself and others, they send me for our other business collaburation - for creating adds for Onewind account. So items was a part of paying method for adds and other part was my free will to help them out by creating adds for their channel, I'm also learning to create ads so this is good practise for me. Of course I understand that to create adds like this should be paid at least 600+ euros I would say even closer to 1.2k for each add. Human hours spend a lot to create just one add. I will grow my portfolio get better camera, get more experience, filming gear like sliders, light, gimbal ... Then I will charge in full amount. In other words I owned stuff they sent me and when I'm doing my reviews in my channel that is not sponsored videos, I preowned those items before this channel. And if I don't like something about them I will definitely tell.
My father never did anything with me, never in the slightest cared about my interests. I'm doing good now, but it always makes me tear up a little when I see a father actually caring about his son. You are making all the difference in your sons life. All the best to you two.
Thanx for your kind words! Feel sorry for your relation to your father! I have similar background, but now I want to give as much as I can to my children to not make same mistake as our Fathers did..
Are you naturally a warm or cold sleeper, please. I am a cold sleeper. Many thanks.
Hey! I'm a cold sleeper. 👍
No mosquitos? I would never dare to sleep outside without a net here in Sweden.
That was early spring, not too much mosquitos then. Now it is different story there.. 😆
Your boy probably had the best night sleep ever. Wish I could sleep like that. Great Vid.
Thanks! Yes, he felt recharged from fresh air in Nature..👍
Did a mosquito suggest this tenting technique?
For mosquitos- it depends, sometimes they only about sunset and then maybe some in the morning. I would say a bugnet on a face is enough for normal situation but in places with a lot of mosquitos you can always integrate some bugnet tent under it for sure. I have bugnet pyramid and I've been used it with this configuration.
Beautiful video 👍
Great to see you camping with your son. These are memories he will remember for the rest of his life. Looks like a fabulous camp. 👌
