Guys, that is silica sand . Its Fracking Sand , the same sand used in Sand Filters for swimming pools. My sand filter broke and left the same white trails in the stream by my house. It is NOT poisonous, It's just sand.

Is there any more information about this location and the pollution? I am presuming the portacabin and its immediate surroundings are the abandoned industrial litter from the fracking activity with the blue pipe taking 'waste' away from the site into the river. Have you had samples of the water and/or the pollutants analysed? Do you have details of any survey work that has been carried out? e.g. presence/absence of usual indicator species showing current/previous health of these streams/rivers.
Has the white stuff been analysed?
