Woodhouse Gardens Winter Illuminations 2020

To bring a little light to what's been a rather dull year for everyone, Blandford Forum Town Council contracted us to light up the town's formal gardens in the lead up to Christmas. Does it send seperate tracks to a DAW and does it carry over how one sets the EQ, FX?
It doesn’t separate , it just sends the full stereo mix , the newer Zedi mixers do separate tracks. Not sure about the eq or fx but I assume the recording captures whatever edits u made on the board

I really wish you would not use any music. It doesn't help it only hinders. First of all it's distracting and annoying, second of all and more importantly it's louder than the actual narrations so it just ruins the tutorial.

It depends on your needs! There is also the ZED10FX if you need to control effects from your mixer.

Can you connect a passive speaker?
Not directly, you can take the XLR signal out into an amplifier to power your passive speaker.

@@lbarnett748 It should be. Warranty exists. Consoles notmally last VERY long unless you put them through hel. I have had a MQ70 in my school for like 1,5 years and still not even a single scratch on it.

Can u connect to your phone?
You would need a cable to stream music from your phone, they have Bluetooth but this is used for controlling the audio EQ and settings from the JBL app.

What lighting console did you guys use on this gig?
Their LD at the time of this show was on a GrandMA onPC command + fader wing.
Can you connect a subwoofer to these?
Yes, there is an XLR thru socket to link on to additional speakers or subs.
Does it need an amp?
It's an active speaker, so the amp is built in.

I agree on one this the 10 numbering is deceiving. This is a 8ch mixer 4 mono. 2 stereo.

Am planning to get a pair of this. How do u compare this with dsr115 in terms of loudness and sound quality? Tq so much
We haven't physically compared these to the DSR115 but they are rated at 139db SPL and the quality is superb.
It would be pretty amazing if you did a tutorial with USB out into iPad using the camera connection kit and the app AUM. I am having a hard time working out how the signal comes back into the mixer and what you select to monitor the USB returns.
from this video I understood the playback channel knob sets the volum of USB return from PC. This will also use up one stereo channel as i understand it. If you want to bring in external effects this will ALSO use up a stereo channel.

Hi Joe! It could be down to the routing process? Be sure you have all the steps you need switched on for your FX and outputs on the routing page!
@@bhsoundandlighting hmm dont know but bfore this i just use 2 channel input mic fader but some source input mic 1... But routing mic1 route to main LR only and mic2 route to aux monitor only.. And i send using fx1 my reverb to mic1 and mic2.. this trick work.. but now... If i down/mute the mic1 for main LR... but fx1 on mic2 to monitor hear on main LR... How to solve???

@@joefickry you may need to check if the fx channels are pre or post fade if you have the channel down and no fx?

Say I have 6 pars all in a line and I need there all on the same channel how do patch that say there all on dmx 112
If all the lights are set to the same channel on the fixtures themselves, you will just need to patch one fixture into the console on channel address 112.
