Nice videos, just starting my sc300 build so was trying to get some pointers. Ooh the term is not clutch less shift, it's flat foot shift meaning you still use the clutch but you don't come off the throttle. Advantage is the engine will stay in boost between shifts. I currently have a 750whp subaru sti with flat shift and factory tranny and I drag race it with slicks. Contrary to what you're saying flat foot shifting won't break your tranny if set up right. Basically you set the rpm drop to where your rpm would drop after shifting. Keep at it. Ohh what what screen is that in your dash?

Well a for effort man.. but yeah, I had a hard time really hearing anything. When you were driving, it was hard to hear what you were saying, but at the same time I couldn’t hear any exhaust or engine noises.
Had to check the year when you said it’s been brutally hot because I’m in Massachusetts but at least I’m on the East Coast too. so I suffer in the humidity like you guys. Honestly, it would be beautiful here if we didn’t have humidity.. the West Coast is where it’s at

Good to see you back in action. Please, you got some 'ssplaining to do. I understood that main purpose of a sequential box is no lift / clutchless shift / high RPM / no miss gear/ plus can take all the HP. It's gone now and you're back to H pattern (still CD09?), can you let us know how this S1 translated to slower shifts? How come no tune for clutchless shift ? Cheers 👍🏼
@@HaydenMiami so I never had a sequential box. I’ve always had a stock cd009 in the car with a bolt on s1 sequential shifter. So it still worked as a stock hpattern box. I still needed to use the clutch. I’m sure I could have set up some sort of no lift shift then maybe it wouldn’t have been beneficial but without that it wasn’t worth it and u see how long the shifts took lol. Racing the mustang with the hpattern back is was wayyyyy faster! I didn’t wanna tune for clutch less shifts because honestly I felt like it would just break the box.
@@Mr94soarer ahhh, now I understand, this set up was a CD009 with a Sequential SHIFTER, not an entire sequential transmission. Well you certainly fast AF with the H pattern and notably having a blast! Keep at it👍🏼☺️

I don’t understand why somebody would waste their money on this shit.. you still up to use your clutch and you don’t have a straight straight cut gear set inside. All you’re doing is imitating AC sequential dog box you still have to use the clutch and you do not have the tough gear set of a dog box. It just makes no sense that has used or owns a dog box no exactly what I’m talking about. Not to mention you have to pull that damn lever more than twice as far back just to change your gear as you do a real dog box there’s absolutely zero benefit to this set up, except to make you feel like you have sequential racing transmission lol not to mention I can pull my dog box out and rebuild it in less than an hour and a half and amount of abuse and wear and tear it’ll take its lifetime is unbelievable. I suggested to anyone watching this video. Educate yourself on wheel racing products and what they do, instead of spending two grand on this junk put that towards a used GeForce dog box they actually drive very nice on the street as well. You’ll never regret it but what you will regret is dropping 2K on this crap installing it on a regular transmission just find out your shifting goes down and you blow your synchronized gears out

@@Mr94soarerappreciate the response. I was having headlight issues long story short I’m lowered found my harness under the wheel well getting rubbed into. Assuming it burnt up the integration relay but I just bypassed it and wired headlights up to a switch haha

Can you leave it in first and shut the car off while still using your ebrake or do you solely have to rely on the ebrake while parked if installed? You can still push the clutch in and put it in N while/before you start it correct?

Next step is to dog-ring/face plate it. Liberty only does it for the tremec shit, but their process should be replicable on other transmissions. Contact some CNC machine shops and give them a set of factory gears to measure so they can cut you some custom shish. Also, how do you get it into neutral? Gently pull/push it between 1st and 2nd just like a bike, or what?
Call liberty just found out they do faceplate r154 Toyota 5 spd. They may do cd009
A half click between any gear will give you neutral.
Ive talked to them already but I no longer have a cd009 in the car
@@Mr94soarer Oof. IMO CD is superior to T56 on the fact that it's single overdrive and you don't need insanely steep axle gears to compensate. Nevermind the fact that the CD's 4-5-6 (and possibly 3-4 as well) are closer than any version of the T56, so it's better there, too. Had one guy at a drag strip complain it was harder to service, but like... It's a 700+hp transmission and you ROLL race it (him not you), how often do you really need to service it with a 100-shot 5.3 LS swap in front of it and the car being a Miata?

My car was a original auto car, imo if I wanted a fast 1/4 car I would of kept it auto. But all around car manual is the way to go imo. No issues at all with foot placement.
@Mr94soarer that's good too hear brotha thank you for your input, yeah I was looking into a sc300 factory manual but it's just too expensive, I gave driven a manual swapped sc300 before and it did feel quite weird the placement of the clutch and break I would often time accidently step on both
