    I gotta tell you I only did 10 minutes of this and my heart was beating really fast because I have so much stiffness. Does anyone else have to break up the workouts? I mean, I have to kind of start from scratch even though I can ride my elliptical

      Breaking up the workouts is a smart way to start and many do it! If you find your heart is beating a little fast, we'd recommend starting with a slower workout or following it on a lower speed (which you can adjust in the video's settings).     Connective tissue means tour joints are lax. They dont hold together. I have loosey goose ankles knees etc. anytime i have an accident the muscles stretch even more. So for her to say it means your firm, that is false. I exercise but not so much the stretching because i was told not to.

    Aug 23 I was able to move from 12min workouts to this 22min at the1st of the month. I went from needed a break after the warm up to needing a break at 15:20. After 5 years of being in a hospital ir my own bed for months at time just sitting up straight was difficult. I finally have my great posture again & my flexibility is improving. I'm also doing some static stretching as I I'd like to achieve splits & backbend. I'm in the hospital a lot & I'm confident that my God- given desire to stay flexible along with my faith made bouncing back from months of being bedridden possible. I'm incredibly thankful that I found Essentrics on KCPT 8 years ago. I have Sickle Cell caused avascular necrosis & I believe practicing Essentrics preventing another joint replacement. I had both hips replaced at 23 & vowed never again..At 43 I still remember that as my worst *physically painful experience. I'm reading Forever Painless & its been very helpful as supplemental material.

    Thank you Miranda!! This is amazing. I just did it for the first time. Didn't think I was going to make it through because of being stiff from the hours of sitting and computer work that I do. It was not at all easy but I know, as I am consistent, I will get better. My body needs this so much!

    I have an illness called Sickle Cell Anemia. At 22, I had a bilateral hip replacement. I spent 6mos per year in the hospital or in bed recovering 5 years in a row. I'm 43 now & need my life back. I'm currently on O² 24-7 now & my joints from hands to ankles either creak or are painful. I assume I'm dealing with avascular necrosis once more as Sickle Cell is a blood disease when blood cells block blood flow which of course kills anything in that area. I can't go through another joint replacement. I sincerely appreciate your videos. Thanks for not putting pain relief behind a pay wall.

    Perhaps Miranda's best! I'm 59 and have suffered with a hip labral tear and sciatica for 4 yrs. I discovered Miranda on PBS 3 yrs ago and did her workouts 3x/week. They helped a lot... and so I eventually stopped doing them after 4-6 months. Sure enough, the symptoms started returning after another 4-6 months. I tried "The FAI Fix" which was way too difficult for me and seemed to exacerbate my symptoms (I'm sure it's great for the 20-40yo crowd though), and after about a year, I felt worse that ever. I tried other hip impingement therapy programs for a few months, all unsuccessful. Then I discovered Shockwave therapy (a terrific non-surgical alternative to hip replacement), which returned me to a state of mobility where I could once again do exercises. I'm now back to Miranda's routines, and this particular connective tissue video is the best one. After years of trial and error with so many programs (including 3 yrs of chiropractic), I think I've finally hit on the right recipe for staying mobile and managing my pain: Miranda 2x/week, Yogi Aaron 2x/week (excellent isometrics!), hiking 4x/week (20-45 min each time, will build up to rucking for 15 min), swimming 2-3x/week, and Shockwave 1x/week. It's a lot but I now feel looser, stronger, and mobile again. Thank you, Miranda! You are an integral part of my continued healing journey. :)

    Very nice. 12 years ago I was teaching Body Pump and Body Combat. I got injured and have not been keen to workout anymore. I've gotten fluffy - COVID did not help! I was on a trip and my friends - 10-20 years younger than me - introduced me to you. My 4th day and I can tell a difference in my mobility. Stairs are easy again!

    I loved your class. I have been doing Miranda's on line here and there. But the last two weeks I've been doing the class online about 2 to 3 times a week. I also teach yoga classes 6 times a week. However, different movements are definitely good for the body. I am planning on getting my Essentrics Certificate to teach in my town. Absolutely love!!

    All homes should be built to accommodate the elderly and disabled. This will be better for everyone. Large wide doorways and hallways make using a cane, walker or wheel chair much easier. Bathrooms or wet rooms need to have flat floors and no shower hump or pan. A flat floor allows for easy access and drains need to provided. Easy to use lever door and faucet handles are easier for the elderly to grip and open. Main floors should include a master bedroom, restroom, shower, laundry and wide walk in closet with few steps to enter. Homes should be designed with aging in place in mind.

    Most elderly people have problems getting up off the floor. As a child you spend a lot of time on the floor, adults do not. Doing yoga / stretching exercises on the floor can improve balance, mobility, flexibility and the ability to get up and down.. Just getting up and down to the floor in a controlled manner is difficult for many older adults. Play with your children on the floor. Bend over, get down and pull weeds in your garden. Play with a pet on the floor. The more effort you make to work on balance and flexibility will pay dividends as you age.

    You are what you eat. Your diet impacts your health. Lower stress, reduce obesity, get enough sleep and more exercise are key to a healthy life. Obesity in children and adults is rising across the world. Fast food and sugary drinks including fruit juices are contributing to the problem of poor health and obesity. Eat a healthy plant based diet and exercise regularly. Reduce or ELIMINATE cows milk, eggs, cheese and meat. Eat more salad greens, beans, fruit and vegetables. Eliminate fast food, snacks like cookies, cakes, chips, and sugary drinks and juices. Every adult and child should own a bicycle and ride it regularly. Regular exercise will help you sleep better. Yoga is a great stress reducer. Obesity is all too common today. Get off the couch. Get off the phone, ipad or video game. A variety of stretching and other exercises help with increased mobility. Ride to work, ride to school, ride for fun. Every city should be a bicycle city. Speak up for bicycles in your community

    with the arthritis in my big toes, I could never put weight on the ball of my foot like that. Plus I tore a ligament under the 2nd metatarsal last summer. I never want to go through that again.

    This series is a great addition to my yoga, cardio, weights, chi-gong , helped me understand at last the difference between & role of fascia/connective tissue compared to other muscular exercises. I can see that Taichi & Chigong are also working in similar way. Yes, glad some classes are free as I already donate/subscribe to Daily Om etc but canno subscribe to all. I recognised the backdrop, my other home, beautiful Jamaica!

    I'm finally adding to my doing the 30 Minute connective tissue workout. It's hard work adding a new routine because I'm very slow to learn a movement sequence. My knee caps click, should I be worried by that?
