OMG, the tissues I've 🤧 gone through since I discovered David Draiman and Disturbed performing their rendition of "The Sound of Silence" on April 29, 2024. That day I have to believe my spirit 🙏 guides (out of the blue) first led me to a cover video by Dan Vasc singing "Amazing Grace" which was phenomenal 👏 and then to the cover video of Disturbed and David Draiman singing this most POWERFUL, EMOTIONAL 😂rendition of Simon and Garfunkels "The Sound of Silence". NOTE: For those interested, here's some history on Paul Simon, who wrote the song in 1964. Watch their video from back then. AnnenMsyKantereit cover alot of Classic Rock songs and put their own spin on them. I see someone has already mentioned ROXANNE, COME TOGETHER,SPRINGSTEEN'S I'M ON FIRE, DYLAN'S FOREVER YOUNG, JAMES ( ST JAMES INFIRMARY) also you should check out AMK original songs in English. Some of them are from 11yrs ago when they were street muscians in G 8:13 ermany. Leavin, Your Door, Waiting, Waiting for Lucy and Hangin Around. Also, Henning May does a duet with Natalie Findley unknown to me. They cover Amy Winehouse's Valerie . I promise you will enjoy all of these. This is the 1st band that I've gotten excited abt since Pearl Jam and Stone Temple Pilot.

Another performance that was great - their version of Seasons of Love from the musical Rent, aired for a 4th of July concert. Just loved the way they performed this song.

is it a fantastic song, sung by a very talented individual? yes. has it been something sung by many over the decades? yes. here's where I'm gonna draw the line. Cuz I see a lot of reactors with taglines "the voice of the people!" or "this is the working class's anthem!" it is to a degree, but I've heard the struggles of the average American framed better in song and poetry. these lyrics, while sung beautifully and passionately. Fall flat for me. why they fall flat for me? because all we seem to do is sing about our class struggles, and collectively seem to not do much about them. Which would entail not actually voting against our best interests, support and understand the role of unions, and work towards ending lobbying and PAC's. but we just keep singing about how much it all sucks...and then maybe...after a few hard fought decades...some improvement is made. I'm ready for more than just singing about how the entitled wealthy s--t all over the rest of the country and seemingly get away it. time to do something.

Do you listen to acapella music? There is a group of 5 men called Home Free that lean country, but do any genre, that are absolutely amazing. They have a world class beatboxer as well as amazing vocals. If you are interested in checking them out a good song to start with would be their version of Man of Constant Sorrow. This is a working person's struggle. The working men and women of all nationalities built this country, and the elites abuse workers. That portion of the song makes two references ... Miners and minors.

I saw them at the Hollywood Bowl last year, and again a week ago (both times with my 80+ year old landlord - in a wheelchair - who had never heard of them before I forced her to watch "Hallelujah" about a month before the first concert), so it's never too late to become a Pentaholic!

They arrange their own stuff. If you watch them on the song off you can see some clips of them working on arranging. This song was filmed using $400!! absolutely unbelievable! I heard it was filmed in one of their kitchens and recorded in a closet.

Kevin usuay sings pretty high. His falsetto is beautiful. Scott is the one who cover bass when avi sings solos. If you watch hallelujah live performance you may see Scott singing that baseline

The performance of Olympico at his real concerts are more impressiv, but Dimash is always amazing. THE voice! And what an entertainer on stage.
