So this causes it to completely ignore the level faders on the syntakt. Is there any way to make it be post fader? Selecting post fader in the track cancels out the option to receive per track audio :(. The only solution is to use the amp control instead on the syntakt, but this has completely messed up the levels and automations I set on the syntakt to the point of it sounding like a completely different track. Any solutions?

Thanks for demo, but what about individual tracks for the effects from syntakt rather than them all being on the same track? Not sure if there is a fix for this?

Good stuff dude. MIDI should be taken out back and put down - vintage gear is dope but even with new gear having USB… USB to USB A… thank goodness was for symmetrical USB-C! Helpful video for the uninitiated, however! Thank you

Great channel! A deep dive into the Oxi one would be awesome. The Oxi gets very cryptic the deeper you go, and the manual is equally cryptic. They've added a bunch of really cool features, but finding and actually using them (mod lanes/midi CC's/arranger work flow etc) is so non-intuitive that it can take hours to figure out each single feature. 🙂

I’m impressed. I’ve never been able to listen to somebody talk for so long but you are full of great viewpoints. I fall into the do it for the love of it. I do fancy performing someday. Keep it up! ❤

Compelling stuff Eric. Always really inspiring to see how you utilise your modular with other hardware. Elektron - I love my Syntakt and I'm sort of in the market for a Digitakt II though being only studio-based I'm not convinced I need it, plus I'm currently trialling Ableton (transitioning from Logic) seeing as it's Techno's DAW of choice. Given the expense it might have to be the D2 or Live... Keep the vlogs coming

Thank you for being so generous with your time and knowledge, this is absolute gold. So many useful tips! and amazing performances. A few questions: 1) Interested to know if you ever considered using the expert sleepers FH2 MIDI to CV module in combination with the OXI one? While the OXI one can produce CV by itself, the FH2 also has a few tricks up it's sleeve. For instance, it now has onboard random shift registers which make useful modulation sources (especially good with noise engineering LIP and BIA). 2) Also, do you ever intentionally use the "named" Euclidean patterns (eg son clave, cinquello, bell or tressilo) in your music? Or do you just generate Euclidean patterns using the algorithms? Loved the tip about single odd number sequences. 3) Have you ever seen any of Steevios performances - his "Primes" video on youtube is an excellent one on using these interacting odd numbered sequences - really highly recommended if you haven't.

This is awesome and helps me to learn sound synthesis, not just the Digitakt! But question, is there away to link the pads/tracks together so that I could have tracks 1-3 on the same pitch but slightly detuned (like you did) but have them all triggered at the same time by pressing one pad? I ask because I want to plug in an Arturia Keystep and play them all like one big sawtooth but chromatically on a external midi keyboard

Love how he in-depth this video is. I’m swaying towards the syntakt as my first hardware machine. I was considering getting a midi keyboard, kontrol mk3. Until I saw this machine. Can someone clarify if it can use samples on the digital tracks? Because I’m new to this I’m now thinking the digital tracks are digital synths instead of somewhere to load digital files. 😊

Digitakt can have 16 midi tracks. If you want you can replace any of the audio tracks with midi.
