We are buiding a library on automotive electrical systems, we want to teach the electrical side of the automotive industry. Automotive industry is getting more and more complicated, we are trying to teach a differant way on diagnosing the engine, transmission, video monitors, abs, perty mush anything that has to do with electric. Learn how to read schmatics and trace out any electrical problem. Think about it if you learn this way you can understand any elctrical no matter what it is on, car, house, it doesn't matter. We are showing where to hook up and what the pattern should look like, known good data, known good data for the scanner, hopefully we can build a association with the automotive industry to bring everyone togeather to help each other through the video's.

I will show you how a split tank has a problem with sending fuel to the primary fuel pump. This why you can be driving and your tank shows fuel in it but you ran out of gas. Your main will be 12 volts then the driver will put ground to the other side.

It doesn't matter. It doesn't hurt that you mostly have to do this when replacing the PCM

Where do i get something like that? Also, if someone was to scan after I replaced the odometer and did a proxi alignment with a different one, would it be possible to detect that it is from a different vehicle? 2016 Chrysler 200.
Not usually but being that year it may actually have to be programmed
I have a C10D053 code and this is the closest I found nothing out there in this that I can find. Replaced a sensor in the rear wheel, the sensor code cleared out but this one replaced it. Cruise, ABS assist park etc all inoperative
What year is it I can probably help you Any other codes in the other module? What kind of scanner tool I may be able to log into it and helpp
@@atrguide8724 Thank you, appreciate it. I solved the problem. I found a Chrysler service bulletin re the speed sensor connections. The wires chafe and/or fray on the vehicle side of the connection. Sure enough the wires at the connection were broken, one completely severed the other partially so. The original code was for a bad speed sensor and replaced both rear senors, then the C10D053 code turned up with the non-op cruise abs ect... Replaced the female side of the connection and that fixed it. This was a 2018 Pacifica that has a security block module so my scanner couldn't get in properly. Managed to find an patch/override module for that and cleared the stored codes, but no active codes. So these connectors, or the wires going to them are faulty. I got a generic one on Amazon and spliced it in and insulated it. Everything is fine now. Scanner Autel MaxiDiag MD806 which are only good up to 2017 and I have 2018, but once the override module is attached it worked fine.

Why did you bother opening the old controller if you were going to replace it anyway? Also, was the controller IC also broken? I'm thinking you could change the blown MOSFETs.

So what you are saying is a bank 1 sensor 1 reference voltage low (P2245) means it could be any of the 4 sensors could have gone bad.
No watch the return voltage and it will tell you what sensor is bad it should be about 3.2 volts if it’s bad you will probably read 5 or 0

Is there a way to utilize a multi meter to do the same diagnosis. Take the module and connect it positive and negative. It was show a fluctuation of pulses. When you push the button, would it not?. My issue is 2017 maxima.. Battery depleted completely the other day. Since I have lost remote lock and unlocked remote start. But proximity key works when I'm close to car. Open doors and key can be in my pocket when I start the car. I have only lost the signal for the buttons. No panic no pop trunk no lock doors no remote start. Could it be this module.

Nice video, awhile ago I had an issue with 1 of the remotes it's electricals must of got damaged. It basically drains a new remote battery in 2 days. So I started using the spare recently. Anyhow the second remote locks unlocks fine but now the smart exterior unlock button stopped working on the door handles which was a nice feature to have, my guess thee antennas need replacing because it's not picking up the proximity Or it could be a the button switch problem. The trunk still works fine and will unlock but that has a separate antenna. I now have some voltage draw and even dealership couldn't figure it out and pointed to bcm. I tested all fuses wiring etc and all seems fine do you think it could be the module or the frequency thingy or where would you advise me to check

It’s possible with bmw check to see if it is there. If I get a bmw in I will look to see and let you knoww

It will depends on how bad the exhaust is I seen it go over a hour. If it still does not go through you may have to have to send and cook it

I put in a used abs mod and of course the vin doesn't match, is it worth me buying a cable and software or something to program the abs, or I take it to a dealer. What's cheaper?
If you buy you can do more than just the one, if you don’t do that many then find someone who can help you

I would look by the tank and may disconnect the fuel pump to if it still blows the fuse

It should it not a programing it a calibration, most scanner's would be able to do it.

Currently trying to do this on a 2018 f150 but when I type my vin into the asbuilt it brings up codes and none of them are in separate titles like pcm,abs etc it’s just all numbers in columns no titles to the codes
Try downloading it and the do automatic and see what happens
Sometimes you have to do automatic as built it should come up when you go to programming

This one is a Snapon Zeus but I have multiple scanners this is my main one.
About a year ago, my USB port quit charging my phone. Replacing the fuse would fix it it for a little while, then I just gave up and use a power pack. Now all dash lights come on (sometimes fixed by re-booting the system), moonroof won't open and now AC blower motor goes in and out. Conked out yesterday, then comes on when I hit a bump. Worked this morning, now out again. I don't want to get ripped off diagnosing the short. Advice?
