Pretty obvious they were getting cheap rip off copies of others designs made offshore and then selling them for a huge profit.

I mean its hand sewn in a factory... of course its polyester... it looks like polyester when she tried it on. There was no description in the sales contract of silk. And hand made can be made in a factory. You have to have at least 2 fittings you can't make a dress to fit without going to the dressmaker and having the dress put on you and then adjusted to fit ...made to measure doesn't always fit perfectly even for hand made dresses. Made to measure will need more than your measurements it will need a fitting before it gets finished. So those are some things to watch out for. The fabric of the dress should be in the description of the dress as well. Cos if it just describes the style and not the fabric they can say you got what they described. Ask about everything. The material of the fabric the type of fabric the material of the stitching and embellishments. All of that as well as ask what dyes are used and where the material and fabric are sourced. If its a decent dress maker they will know all of that ...although its often hard to even find that out from a fabric shop. But if they're making a lot of dresses they will have a direct supplier of bolts.

if you can remove a clutch you can easily tell when its "worn" out so giving a second car wasnt really the way to go.

Ive been scammed like this. My hydraulics failed due to faulty seal, but was charged for a new clutch and 1200 quid out of pocket. Knew id been fleeced when the garage showed me the empty clutch packaging they said they had bought. On top of that, you'd know that spotting lameness and injury in a horse isn't just the vets job - it's your job to know what to look for, and to contact the vet if you think somethings wrong. If a vet did actually pass these horses as healthy and guess their age, they need their licence revoked.
