Akil The Mc : What makes an Artist the Goat Skills vs Record Sales
Is it about skills or record sales & popularity ?
Is it about the music ,songs and body of work ?
Selling records never mattered in hip hop if so that would mean that MC hammer was the goat at one point and it wasn't about skills !
It just means you sold the most which is a whole other category .
What specifically makes one a goat ?
In my humble opinion
1.You must bring something to hip hop that never existed before and be impactful.
2. Have at least 3 dope albums
3.Be versatile
4. Be a dope live performer
5. Be relevant and have relevant content
