If you're considering a laser cutter, it’s essential to explore all options. While the K40 Chinese Laser Cutter is a popular entry-level choice known for its affordability and basic functionality, I highly recommend the Monport Laser for those seeking a more advanced and reliable machine. The Monport Laser stands out with its superior precision, robust build, and user-friendly interface, making it suitable for a wide range of applications, from intricate engravings to precise cuts on various materials like wood, acrylic, and metal. Additionally, Monport provides excellent customer support and comprehensive resources to ensure you get the most out of your laser cutter. By choosing the Monport Laser, you're investing in a tool that will not only meet but exceed your expectations, providing professional-grade results and enhancing your creative projects.

I had my DMSC683 in storage for a good bit and the AA's corroded the board pretty bad. Would anyone know where to get a new board? The board with the 2 fuses is still perfect, but the battery board needs replaced, green stuff is chipping off everywhere after cleaning with IPA. And the two small red/black wires connected to the round thing on the back of the case fell off. What do they do? The round thing doesn't feel magnetic, just something pressed into the case, with the red/black wires under it. The board says UL:E137087(S). NO.01-06a. 153-6a SUB PCB COMP-SIDE. 01.27.24 I got it new when I went to NTI in 2003, would like to get it running again. Is there a way to cover the copper parts of the board with aftermarket green stuff? If so, I just need to find someone to solder the red/black wires back on.

I think you omit main reason of fuse blowing problem. Every transformer suffers on start of initial "inrush" current on primary coil which can be 10 times higher than normal current. It means that hundred of watts transformer is able to blow up your home socket fuses. These big variacs have 500-3000W and are able to generate 100A peak in first tens of seconds after start. The solution is soft start circuit which is used on powerfull audio amplifiers equipped by toroid tranformers. Simplest form is a resistor in series with primary transformer coil controlled by time relay. The resistor is bridged by relay contact after first second or something like that. Slow blow (motor) fuse is another solution. It is definitely sad that the producer is able to switch input and output plugs as the reversed voltage may be high enough to damage coil insulation and take the transformer down. And it is the better option considering that you can easily reach very dangerous high voltage in the output plug.

My old roomba model 527 . My vacuum motor is not getting power for some reason. The motor test is easy just crossing the contacts with a 9 volt batt. . So I know its not the vacuum motor itself. Any Idea why my vac motor isn't getting power ? Everything else works btw.

After shopping around for isolation transformers this Jameco GRP-1200 seems to be the best value when compared to similar ones of the same rating (price of new one is about the same to similar used ones). This Jameco GRP-1200 isolation transformer specs are : Prim Volts - 110V Sec Volts - 110V Prim Current - 14A Sec Current - 7A Input 110V 1800VA per the data sheet www.jameco.com/Jameco/Products/ProdDS/2214336.pdf Some discrepancies here is the 14A fuse feeding the primary and the direct input plugs. This derates the transformer primary and direct input plugs to 1540VA (110V*14A) which is 85% of 1800VA ((1540/ 1800VA)*100 = 85.5%). The labeling on the direct input plugs notes this as 900VA ( should be 1800VA or 1450VA if derated). The secondary is feeding the isolated output plugs via a 7A fuse which would rate the output at 770VA. The labeling on the isolated output plugs notes this as 450VA ( should be 770 per the 7A fuse. I really don’t need the direct input plugs and my plan is to disconnect them from the primary and 14 Amp fuse and use them as isolated outputs plug by paralleling them to the isolated output plugs. I also am changing the 7A fuse to 14A and labeling all as isolated plugs with total rating as 1540 VA. Would anyone please confirm the VA rating on the transformer labels that can confirm my reasoning.
