I used a heavy duty doggie tennis ball hoping it would seal better and last longer but now I think its going to make my shoulder flare up. That might have been a mistake and I might have to cut it down or go to a regular tennis ball. And my seal flips back and forth with the stroke so it might not matter which way it goes.

Maybe steel spikes with drilled holes at 90° to each other from the top usually 12" inchs on up 16" plus, used to set and level boards for concrete. 1" by 10"-12" by 4'-6' long. Easy to place and remove. But alot to pack.

Your right about the flood gold though, we've had a series of wet winters and big floods. Word is this will be another wet one this winter, maybe with lots of snow.
